What would happen to Dak Presscot if he was drafted by Jets this year?

Jets would never find talent late or middle of a draft.. They can't even find an early..

Dallas didn't find the talent knowingly either. If they believed Dak would be this good, they would draft him 4th overall even ahead of Zeke. You can find a good RB any year but you can't find a QB like that. It is pure luck sometimes. But again, if Dak fell to the Jets somehow, do you believe we would have the coaching staff recognizing the talent during preseason and allow him to run the offense? Let me tell you what would happen if Jets drafted Dak and Fitz got hurt. They would go to Geno. No questions asked. Geno would come after Fitz. Anybody think differently?

Dak has looked very solid, but let's not even act like the Jets offensive line and the Cowboys offensive line are even on the same planet. Not to mention none of the Jets running backs are even close to Zeke. He's also throwing to an all time great tight end. Oh. And Dallas' defense is playing much better than the poor excuse of a defense the Jets have.

So even if the Jets drafted Dak this offseason and he overtook the  starting QB spot for the Jets, the success he's found would not have been replicated here, no matter how good he's looked in Dallas.

So Carl you are admitting the Jets have a problem at RB and OL and on defense.

They obviously have a problem on defense. The line and RB aren't as big of issues as the defense. They have been worse than last year, but still only a little below average. The defense is amongst the worst in the league. I've never said they didn't have issues at those positions.

We have drafted from the same pool of talent as the Cowboys.   Our drafts basically are below average.  That is why our oline sucks, defense sucks, etc.. We overpay vets because we haven't drafted good young players.

We are minimum 2 years away from being decent.   Maybe more as we lose Harris, Mangold, Mevis.

All things being equal...why would a free agent come here?  So..we have to overpay them too.

Carl the defense has problems and the fact they never adjust is on the head coach and the defensive coordinator Is Bowles this bad as a head coach that he cant get this defense to hold its own what the hell Carl.

He was told the same thing by Dallas. It just so happens that if you're holding Romo's clipboard, he's likely to stub his toe walking across a soft carpet which will break his back.

So, yes, he'd likely be holding the clipboard. However, he wasn't good enough to use a 2nd round pick on like Hackenberg so we'll never know.

Lol it's luck he is playing this well yes, but everyone thinks every pick they pick is " a great pick with great value." It's the jets who are consistently wrong, every yr.. You are right he probably would be down the depth chart.. Maybe jets would not have signed fitz, and if geno played even as close to bad as fitz currently is they would have put on Prescott.. But these overpriced divas like fitz and romo  can stand in there and do bad before they are pulled.. granted romo got hurt, cowboys got lucky.. But if romo was just doing bad like fitz, I doubt they would bench him for the rookie..so soon anyway.. These gms need to justify wasting $ on their qbs, they want to wait until there is no ounce of hope left with them before admitting a mistake..

Reading this makes me think this team's suckage is being oversold. If the defense is the big worry with this team then I'm down to not forfeit the season yet.

or he would have looked great in training camp, got along with Brandon Marshall (this is the key) and saved the Jets $12m

Petty needed to learn the NFL offense and Hack is just bad if that helps to explain why they are holding a clipboard, but I think Petty is ready to get a chance this year, let's hope he does well

You guys cannot compare the situation and play the what if game.  There is no way to know if Prescott would have been capable of doing what he is doing in Dallas.  They have the best OL in football, and one of the most electrifying new RB's in Elliot.  That goes a long way to helping a rookie.

She would probably have sex with Jeremy Shockey while she thought about Lawrence Taylor.

Jeffrey Dahmer is dead so he would be screwed.
