D.J. Swearinger isn’t the only one surprised he got cut from the Redskins.

The Pro Bowl safety was released Monday after criticizing defensive coordinator Greg Manusky’s game plan against Titans backup quarterback Blaine Gabbert, and his teammates are not pleased.

Several of Swearinger’s former Redskins teammates came out in support of the safety on Instagram, as NBC Sports chronicled.

Cornerback Quinton Dunbar posted a picture of the two captioned, “Forever My Brother, S–t crazy,” while offensive tackle Trent Williams bemoaned “Some s–t is impossible to understand!”

Safety Deshanor Everett also came out in support of Swearinger, imploring his defensive backfield mate to “Keep that same energy and passion bruh, don’t ever change.”

It’s not surprising that the decision to cut Swearinger has been received poorly.

The former second-round pick was named a Pro Bowl alternate this season and had started every game in Washington since signing ahead of the 2017 season.

Swearinger posted four interceptions in each season in Washington and three forced fumbles this season.

Now the safety will look for his fifth team in eight seasons.

I would wait for more info, we are all assuming it is due to the one incident.  If the guy is a free lancer much like our free lancer they may have had enough.

Also more and more the NFL is becoming like basketball where the players think they are smarter than the coaches which occasionally they are.

Players play and coaches coach.
