Jetluv58
from Heavy.com https://heavy.com/sports/new-york-jets/news-tj-luther-udfa-xavier-gipson/amp/ New York Jets general manager Joe Douglas typically loves spending money on undrafted rookies after the NFL Draft, and 2023 was no different. Among the UDFA signings on April 29 was deep-ball wide receiver T.J. Luther out of Gardner-Webb University. The Athletic’s Zack Rosenblatt and uSTADIUM confirmed the Luther addition, which was initially reported on by NFL insider Aaron Wilson. I thought the other UDFA slot ( Xavier Gipson) was the speed demon and TJL was the big, athletic go up and get the ball WR

So awesome seeing parcells, vinny, chrebet, victor green etc. 1998 was the best jets team of all time. Also, crazy there was no replay to overturn a clear dropped int. It was easier when they all did everything at the combine because at least it was a level playing field and you were not reading pro day tweets by agents (Jamal Adams run 4.33 40!). This guy has a 3 cone that would make him undraftable as a pass rusher IMO. That is pretty horrible for a sub-190 lb WR. The athletically intriguing guy is EJ Jenkins. He comes from a long line of Georgia Tech (by way of South Carolina) size/speed freaks. Calvin Johnson, Demaryius Thomas, Calvin Johnson, Stephen Hill <cough, cough>, Darren Waller, DeAndre Smelter. WR expected to convert to TE ala Waller. He is '6'6" 245 and ran a 4.5. His 3 cone is even worse than Luther, but he is a big freaky guy. He doesn't give much to scout with like 317 yards and 3 TDs in 2022 but at least he has a real highlight tape.
