Guys, everyone who has forgotten more football than you will ever know, will tell you that a REAL ULTIMATE COMPETITIVE REBUILD takes no fewer than five years.

Essential to the process is gradually becoming worse than the state the team was in when it bottomed out and created your very job opportunity.

So, let us not be the worst fans ever and delay, obscure or criticize the fundamental excellence that has us on this 5-year plan to .500

Keenum will be back with the vikes and he would be a HUGE mistake.  Taylor is good enough to help you get you some wins but imo is not a playoff QB at all.

Denver or Arizona are signing Taylor

Macc will give Keenum a $50 million deal after he strikes out with Cousins

Maybe. Maybe not. I don't know. Some people say Cousins isnt a franchise QB.

THis is an interesting term. WHat is the definition of a franchise QB?

A leader of men, the face of a franchise! A player that has the ability to carry his team on his back when needed. A guys that has the respect of all his teammates, that you wouldn’t doubt can win a game on the final possession, last drive. I don’t think Cousins is a franchise QB either, the reason..... franchise QBs don’t get traded or slap-dicked around at contract time

Is Joe Flacco a franchise QB? Is Matthew Stafford a franchise QB?

Not if its a early first rd pick QB, not by intelligent fans. .. INTs are expected from rookies, or at least tolerated. It’s a learning and growth process. No rookie qb is a good as he will be on game 1 as he is at end of a season.

The problem is that the intelligent fans dont make noise. t

Please add Cam Newton, Matt Ryan, David Carr and Andrew Luck to the list.

A franchise QB is a guy who can produce in the top 15 in the league, goes through progressions, gets your team in the right play on a regular basis, and doesn't turn the ball over.

Brady, Rogers and Rothlisberger aren't just Franchise QBs they are Hall of Famers, thats different then Joe Flacco and you can obviously still win a SB with the Joe Flaccos of the world

All of that kind of fits Josh McCown this year. You need to add for multiple years. Which is why I am holding off on naming Watson to that category.

I would also add dependable to play.

Ha well it doesn’t matter. To use one of your examples, Eli Manning played 9 games threw 9 INTs and 6 TDS so by your logic he should have been cut in 2004

Its a process and everyone knows that..

Macc would have passed on Eli for Vilma

F*CK THIS FRANCHISE.

How can anyone think this is encouraging?

Macc drafting another QB, and the new QB playing under a defensive Head Coach with no balls.

Not surprising the Jets think this a recipe for success...  smh

Jets are becoming the Browns Eastcoast
