Josh Rosen - Aaron Rodgers

Josh Allen - Cam Newton with a better arm

Baker Mayfield- Mark Sanchez

Mason Rudolph- Joe Flacco

Lamar Jackson - RG3

Kyle Lauletta— better Ryan Fitzpatrick

I’ll go:

Sam Darnold — Roethlisberger  REALLY?  NOT AT ALL THE SAME TYPE OF PLAYER.

Josh Rosen - Aaron Rodgers  JUST DON'T SEE IT.  THEY BOTH HAVE GOOD ARMS.  THAT'S ABOUT IT.

Josh Allen - Cam Newton with a better arm MAYBE IF CAM NEWTON COULDN'T HIT THE SIDE OF A BARN AND WAS LESS EFFECTIVE AS A RUNNER.

Baker Mayfield- Mark Sanchez  JUST PLAIN SILLINESS.

Mason Rudolph- Joe Flacco  IF FLACCO DIDN'T HAVE AN ARM.

Lamar Jackson - RG3  I'LL GIVE YOU THIS ONE FOR THE SAKE OF ARGUMENT.

Kyle Lauletta— better Ryan Fitzpatrick MAYBE.

MOST OF THESE ARE WAY OFF.  BUT A+ FOR TROLLING.

We did this like twice already but you decided to take the opportunity to irk Mayfield fans...cool stuff bro.

ha.. and then he tries to say allen in Cam with a bigger arm, sure... can you show me where after Juco, Allen goes to SEC and carries a team to a Nat'l championship.... lol @Philc1 one of the worst posters here.

I can do this too:

Darnold: A ginger Troy Aikman

Josh Rosen: Half Sober Joe Namath, half less mobile Steve Grogan

Josh Allen: Less accurate, slower, and less athletic Cam Newton

Baker Mayfield: Case Keenum/Aaron Rodgers love child

Mason Rudolph: Less successful Bryce Petty

Lamar Jackson: Fran Tarkenton/Randall Cunningham

Kyle Lauletta: Kenny O’Brien with Chaddycakes’ arm

There's a pretty wide gulf between "Rodgers or Rivers".

Oh cool, another “black QB reminds me of black QB” thread. You guys are good for about 1 per week.

They are both terrific running QBs (speedsters) and they both have strong arms and a similar throwing motion (they kind of flick the ball).  I understand when people do the "eye roll" over these types of comparisons but that doesn't mean some of them aren't reasonable.

from a different/less glowing perspective:

Rosen - Cutler/Matt Ryan

Darnold - Rivers

Josh Allen - Jake Locker

Lamar Jackson - Randall Cunningham

Baker Mayfield - Manziel

Mayfield in college is Manziel on an even better team

I heard a scout (when asked who Rosen reminded him of) compare Rosen to "a better Eli Manning" but I'm not sure I'll be able to find it.  I think it might've been at his pro day.  I'll see if I can find it.

Rosen is a little too cerebral to be compared to Eli Manning he’s actually more like his brother Peyton

Eli’s strength as a qb is not overthinking things and being calm when things are chaotic

I only compared 1 and that’s because like RG3 Jackson will only be effective playing in a read option heavy offense

Mayfield is Sophia, small in stature but delivers the best results (punchlines per 30)

Allen is Dorothy. The biggest of the bunch but the least desirable.

Darnold is Rose. Everyone loves her but no ones really sure why.

Rosen is Blanche. The sexiest of the bunch but probably has had one too many rolls in the hay.

Darnold -- Best case scenario -- Favre. More likely upside -- Romo. Hopefully not -- Mark Sanchez

Rosen -- Best case scenario -- Peyton Manning. More likley upside -- Matt Ryan. Hopefully not -- Sam Bradford with Jay Cutler's attitude.

Mayfield -- Best case scenario -- Drew Brees. More likely upside -- Jeff Garcia. Hopefully not -- the bad Doug Flutie years with a diva attitude.

Allen -- Best case scenario -- Cam Newton. More likely scenario -- Jake Locker. Worst case scenario Hackenberg with a TEs athleticism.

Jackson -- Hard comp because so few are this athletic -- probably the best case is peak Vick/RG3 and worst case is Vick/RG3 when they sucked.

In other words, a higher upside than “absolutely atrocious”?
