JETSfaninNE
Just noticed this on the CBS transactions list for yesterday: (sorry if this has been posted and discussed already) Aug 5, 2020 James Burgess OLB Reserve/DNR COVID-19 Opt-Out Looks like along with Mosley Burgess is also out for the year unless I'm reading this wrong. Source: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/teams/NYJ/new-york-jets/transactions/ More playing time for Zuniga I would assume! Hopefully he surprises. RichardTodd27
Maybe we'll see more 4-3 defenses? A lot of talent on the D-line.

He was the limiting factor in all of this. You don't pay an ILB $17M to sit on the bench or try to play MLB when he doesn't fit in that role. Now that decision is easy.
Barry McCockinner
What's going on w/the opt-out period? I thought the deadline was 08/03.

Popular Post mrcoops
Looks like they got that wrong. He was placed on the COVID-19 list, he didn't opt out: I like Burgess. Jets website has him on the COVID list, not the opt-out list so I'll trust that over CBS. In other Jets website news, we have a hard-hitting safety wearing #33. Anthony Cioffi has switched to that number. Also, Frank Gore takes Trenton Cannon's old #25.
ageingjetfan
Loved watching this kid last year. Kind of a throwback for me. Hits like a mule and seems the type that would rather get carried off than pulled from a game. A football player. 1
