It's such a shame that the only thing we have as Jet fans is the perverse satisfaction we get from these comparisons. We deserve better but many of us will be past giving a sh*t by that point.

The issue is Chase Winovich looks like a stud for the Pats and we picked Polite over him.

He released stud pass rusher and future playoff star Jachai Polite. 

Seriously though that move screamed of new regime making a statement. Polite probably should have been persisted with given what we invested. Not like we're stacked in that area.

Nope.  Polite was drafted by Big Mac and is currently playing NFL Football and has 1 less sack on the season than Quinnen Williams.  Zuniga was drafted by Douglas and I dont think he's put on NFL pads, if I'm not mistaken.

- Polite wasnt worth of a roster spot, just got his first career sack on team competing for 1st place in the toughest division in Football ie; another example of players getting better away from Gase

He didn't deserve to be on the team, no matter who selected him.

His preseason performance was woefully bad, as was his level of effort.

Cutting him was absolutely the right move at the time.
