Adam Gase's eyes see everything.

Like the opening scene of Prometheus where the alien guy sacrifices himself into the ancient waterfall, which provided the DNA strands for what became human life, so was Adam Gase to these 4-2 Jets. I know that casual fans won’t acknowledge any of this, but they don’t understand things on a granular level like us hardos.

Counterargument - Did Macc draft the best current player on our roster?

Also, I wish we could combine Gase's opening drives with LaFleur's adjustments.

1st quarter Sam Darnold + 4th quarter Zach Wilson = Super Bowl

Not sure Sauce may already be #1. If Q can maintain his play then maybe

Only took him 5 years to draft a useful player.

Rid us of Mike Maccagnan.

Brought us Joe Douglas.

Build the googly-eyed statue right next to Douglas's when the time comes.

See to it that his name is enshrined on every port-o-john within a 10 mile radius of Metlife stadium to remind everyone what he meant to this franchise.

If we applied this same logic to Zach Wilson, it would be akin to Zach being in the HoF. 99% bad, 1% good does not get statues. They get fired and are never to be seen or heard from again. There's a reason Gase can't get back in the NFL.

Now, how much did T0m actually pay you to post this?

I'm not saying he deserves to be an NFL HC.  He sucked.  But he played a significant role in turning this franchise around all the same.

His tenure was like Richard Nixon's presidency.  "Only Nixon could go to China".  Much the same way, only Adam Gase could fix the Jets.

Macc gave us our team MVP in Q and most respected leader in CJ (who is also having a pretty damn good season).  He also drafted a stud S who netted us multiple first round picks.

Do not put his name anywhere near the worst HC in team history.  Ingrate.

Now do the rest of his draft picks, FA signings, and the Quincy Enunwa re-signing.

Gase was good at one thing and that was the opening scripted plays. LaFleur is terrible at it but other than that everything about this team is better.

Yes, Gase, with THAT roster, led the NFL in opening drive TDs (scripted). After that it looked like a clown show with players running into each other.

I don't fault Gase as much as some on here, he had his positives. But he was too cerebral at times. Plus he never had the raw player talent to pull off his vision of a well-oiled offense.

On his negative side, his personality was really bad. He didn't even go into the locker room at half time with a rah-rah speech....he left half time adjustments up to his coordinators. Images of him sitting all alone on the bench during the game, flipping thru his play sheets said a lot. No players wanted to stand near him.

Saleh is probably the polar opposite. All rah-rah with little to no clue what the nuances on the offensive side of the ball are (thank god for LeFleur). I think if Saleh was our play caller we'd be 0-6 this year.

But hey, a rah-rah HC with good coordinators is sometimes exactly what a team needs, oh, and 2 great draft classes.
