Sean McDermott

The guy is getting abused on twitter right now. He’s done a fantastic job turning the Bills from the current Jets into a perennial contender. However, the Bills are pretty much as good as they can get from a roster standpoint. If they can’t get over the top the only change to make is at head coach.

When has he ever won a big game?!

Von Miller was a huge loss

Bills should focus on DE, RB, OL

develop a better conventional running game and upgrade OL

The problem is they are going to start to lose free agents. Poyer, Edmunds, Saffold, Phillips this year and Hyde and Davis next year.

Bills don’t look like they have a killer instinct like you see from the bengals and chiefs. Mahomes and burrow are on a different level. Those guys look like winners. Allen is a great regular season qb but he seems to really shrink in the elimination games (outside of the KC game last year.) the bengals were the much better team today but Allen couldn’t come up clutch when they needed him. the bills were lucky they were playing a 3rd string qb last week or they’d have been sent home in rd 1.

They should go after Saleh. We can sign McDermott then.

Biggest loss was Daboll

Huge loss but I really thought they missed their pass rush most (were a top rush team with Von Miller) and also hurt by not having a better conventional running game to tame the Bengals pass rush. Their roster has some holes

It all starts with the boys upfront.  JD knows the path but he needs to hit BIG on another OL and have the group stay healthy.  If that EVER happens with Breece and a mid level qb, were a completely different team.

Burrow, Purdy, and Hurts have ALL day.

The guy is a good coach, it simply is not easy to get to the super bowl let alone win it.

This will sound same old jetsy but the fact that the Jets should have beaten buffalo twice and gave them fits was a big warning sign.

They haven’t even gotten to the afc championship the last 2 seasons

The best thing Allen does is pull it down and run.  That’s what makes him so good.  Strong arm, yes. But he is really good at running, short yardage and goal line, and scrambling. He’s not just big, but he’s a natural runner with good vision.  It’s very frustrating

And Allen’s huge cap number kicks in next year. They’re in trouble with their roster.

Same thing that happened to the Brady Bucks after they won the Super Bowl will happen to the Bills.  They are well coached and I think they will be competitive, but with a hard cap, no team can keep a loaded roster for more than three seasons or so.  The window stays open about that long.  We also saw that with the Jets after 2010.

The conditions also slowed down the pass rush and gave Burrow time. It's hard to rush the passer on a wet field.

The Bucs were not done in so much by the cap, but by injuries and old age.

The issue is they lost all 4 shots at winning a SB. Anything short of that is gonna be a failure for SM.

If they drafted Hall as many Bills fans wanted, and he stayed healthy, they win the SB going away IMO

Scary to think how good they would be. They can easily draft one with their pick this year, but the defense is aging and they need a WR.

They had a really nice offensive line the year they won the Super Bowl.  Especially in the center of the line.   When that line broke up, so did Brady's passing game.  Cap, FA, injuries... All of it, but they were really up against it

They fell the current wisdom that any RB is as good as another.....

In general, there is some merit to that kind of thinking but in Truth, when you have the chance to draft a special RB you do it!
