NFL MVP

Recommended Posts

I completely forgot about Hill but I don’t see him as more valuable to the team than CMC. If you take CMC off of the 9ers Purdy isn’t in the running for MVP.

As far as QB goes. There isn’t one that head and shoulders over the rest. Jackson, Allen and Mahomes the normal MVP favorites aren’t as good as usual.

My MVP list would look like this

1. CMC

2. Hill

3. Purdy

4. Tua

5. Probably Jackson

Purdy. He is having one of the best seasons by a QB ever. He is at 9.9 YPA. CMC is awesome but his success is as much as Purdy as Purdy's is because of CMC

I would give it to Allen because I think the Bills would be a 1 win team without him and SF would be in the hunt with anyone.  I do agree Purdy's numbers are great.  He's having a historically great season.

Problem with Allen is he is also the reason they have lost 6 times. The playoff game last year suggests SF might not be that good without Purdy. You have to look back through a different lens.

they were 7 and 3 with Garapolo last year and went to a SB with him without McCafrey.  The Eagles were better last year than they are this year and SF wasn't as healthy last year as they are this year.  Tough call.  I'm a beliver in Purdy.  I also think the Bills might get to the SB this year.

I could totally see the bills getting there this year.

the only issue is that there is a legit chance they don’t even make the playoffs if they don’t win out (including beating Miami the last week of the season in Miami). They could easily lose a tie-breaker at 10-7

Good point about the BIlls.  There record isn't good they just look like a very tough out that can play and beat anyone.  It's crazy but at the end of the year Stafford might be in the argument.

Brock Purdy is the clear-cut choice for NFL MVP while Christian McCaffrey is the NFL Offensive Player of the Year. Giving MVP to McCaffrey over Purdy this season would be like giving the MVP to Marshall Faulk over Kurt Warner in 2001.

purdy throws 3 yard passes and his weapons take it 50 to 60 yards.

It's tough for the Bills to even get to the playoffs from what I am hearing, Basically need to win out.

The 49ers players themselves would tell you McCaffrey is their MVP

6. Bengals (8-6): Win head-to-head tiebreaker over Colts and Bills.

7. Colts (8-6): Win conference record tiebreaker over Bills and head-to-head tiebreaker over Texans.

OUTSIDE LOOKING IN
8. Texans (8-6): Win conference record tiebreaker over Bills.

Cleveland is 9-5 so they need to finish a game ahead of 2 of the Bengals, Colts and Texans
