I know it’s usually bad process to take TE high in round one but Bowers could be the outlier. Wouldn’t hate it if the big 2 OTs and big 3 WRs are gone.

I still have my doubts about him going that high, talented as he is. Production is just not there. Would be the first WR to go in the first with < 2 YPRR. Lowest since Jalen Reagor (2.08) which isn’t an awesome bar to not exceed.

Big difference in situations though. the jets are sitting on a staff that could be fired at the end of next season. The pats, in theory, will have a new staff in place. Hard to give a lame duck coaching staff another shot at a qb when they just sold out on Aaron Rodgers. Pats staff will be starting fresh. If this staff wants another shot at drafting a qb, they have to earn that right in 2024.

Yeah, i’ve definitely seen him moving down rankings and guys like Brian Thomas coming up. I meant it more as they’d have to reach into the Tier Two category at ten if they wanted a receiver.
