Eh I wouldn’t say that.  When Elijah Moore pulled his crap I think there were many fans including myself who soured on him. Sure if they make plays we root for that but once you put yourself above the team it’s tough to fix that unless you try hard

If you really look at it, Reddick has always been a malcontent, the signs have been all around him, his entire career.

And the last 4 years or so, he's always been pushing teams for more money.

Arizona, the team that drafted him in the 1st round, declined his 5th year option.

He did one year in Carolina and wasn't brought back.

He played 2 years of a 3 year deal in Philly and demanded more money. Found out he wasn't getting it & asked for a trade successfully forcing his way out of town.

Then he comes here asking for money and tries to force his way out of town again, asking for a trade for the 2nd time in 7 months.

When in NFL history has a player EVER done that before??

The only difference now, up to this point is, he hasn't been able to force his way out of town.

But if you look at his career, no team he's been with, has had an interest in keeping Reddick (who is a blue-chip pass-rusher) around long term.

His time here is a shining illustration of why no NFL organization, wants this guy as a fixture in their locker room.

Hell, even his agents have fired him.

I firmly believe that JD did not do the due dilligence required for this job. There were reasons why Philly didn't want to extend him.  There were reasons why he has moved around and nobody wanted him.  JD did not do his homework.

The Jets have always been lazy in this regard, no matter who the GM is.  It's high time we get a front office that does it's research in a professional manner and does so consistently.  We are lucky if JD does anything it seems.   

Starting to believe that he should be replaced.  The Reddick thing was an obvious red flag and JD totally ignored it.  For what reason, I do not know?  But this was a bad one for him.

Certainly does not make the effort to do a full due diligence on almost anything.  Throughout its history, the New York Jets front offices have always been lazy, sloppy, negligent or worse.  It's NO DIFFERENT under JD. Sadly.

It's been mentioned the past month or so, maybe even here, that his father is the one driving this whole contract holdout.  Obviously, still Haason's ultimate decision

He had one good draft that allowed him to stand out. That draft is not looking that potent any longer. He’s completely F’ed up the quarterback spot. He can’t get the offensive line together in five years and all he does is take risks on injured or compromised players with one year deals. Most of them really haven’t worked out. DJ read was a great signing. Other than that, Douglas hasn’t earned an extension at all. He should’ve been fired along with Saleh.
