Who is this receiver?

Was looking up some clips I cut up of Mosley after the Jets signed him and found this play where the Steelers scored a TD when Roethlesberger hit his wide receiver lined up on the boundary before he breaks some tackles and scores a TD.  Who is that dude?  Jets could use somebody like that.

I would argue that such a throw is not beyond the realm of what Sam Darnold is capable of.

It may be a RB based on the number I think I saw him wearing.

Yep, it was number 26 and it was LeVeon.  I think the OP is making a point about how he is being used on the Jets.

yeah well Leveon bell used to run fast or at least fast enough

now he moves like he's got a cold load in his depends

he can't get to the edge and the Giants game proved it

he's getting older he's not getting faster

So you're saying that a when we have a chance to sign a 27/28 year old back who's been sitting on the pine for a year after a 400 touch season... that maybe, JUST MAYBE, that's not a great idea?

Gee, if only Jets fans were willing to listen to reason at the time.

Jet fans didn't sign him.  McCagnanan did.

I get that viewpoint but our OL is so so so incredibly bad that it would have made any RB look completely incompetent. I did not like the Bell signing at the time and do not like it still but let's see how he rebounds with at least an average offensive line

I don’t know if you’re serious or not, but I think Ben is the most underrated QB in the last 30 or 40 years. I realize how crazy it is to say that about a first ballot HOF player, but I’m saying it.

Might not be the guy you want to see marry into your family, but if I had to pick someone to win one game I absolutely needed to win, he’d be in the mix with Brady, Montana and Marino.

I’d take him over Peyton, Favre, Young, and anyone else I’m forgetting right now.

It's too bad he's miles away from that type of production going forward and his replacement was just drafted in the 4th this year.

Pittsburgh Steelers veteran quarterback Ben Roethlisberger admitted to having addictions to alcohol and pornography and how his Christian faith has aided him in dealing with them during a ManUp Pittsburgh virtual conference for Christian men on Saturday, via a report from ESPN.

"It's not always easy," Roethlisberger told former Steelers player Tunch Ilkin, one of the event's hosts, per ESPN. "People don't realize all the time that us athletes, we're human. We sin like everybody else. I am no different. We make mistakes. We get addicted to things. We sin. We're human. I think sometimes we get put on this pedestal where we can't make mistakes. I've fallen as short as anybody. I've been addicted to alcohol. I've been addicted to pornography, which makes me then not the best husband, not the best father, not the best Christian I can be.

"But you have to dedicate yourself and understand that you can get out of it because of the grace of God and him saying, 'Listen, you're good enough for me the way you are. You don't have to be perfect.'"

After missing much of the 2019 season, the 38-year-old Roethlisberger is on a comeback journey from an elbow injury. On Saturday, though, Roethlisberger went into detail in regard to his religious journey and how he deems being a Christian as "cool" and that his hopes of being a better Christian are of a larger onus than his onfield aspirations.

"Now more than ever, it's cool to be a Christian, especially professional athletes," Roethlisberger said. "One of the things I want to tell guys and tell people out there, I can be a really good athlete and a Christian. It's not one or the other. I can do both. I want it to be known to all of the young men out there. It's cool to be Christian and be an athlete. Go ahead and be the best athlete you can be and see if you can be a better Christian. And that's what I'm trying to do now. I'm trying to be a better Christian than I am an athlete and football player. I push myself every day to do that, and it starts here. It's not always easy."

In regard to his injury, Roethlisberger said he was glad it happened with him being in his current state of faith as opposed to earlier in his life.

"I'm so thankful that this injury happened during my walk that I'm in now," Roethlisberger said. "I don't know that I would've been able to handle it a few years ago, five, six, seven, 10 years ago. I know that my faith wouldn't have been as strong. Now that I know what it's about, it's easy to say, 'Hey, God, this is in your hands. I'm going to go train my butt off to get back out there, and whatever you have for me, I'm ready."

Per the event website, "Each year, Urban Impact teams up with Coach Mike Tomlin of the Pittsburgh Steelers, to present the ManUp Pittsburgh conference to over fifteen hundred men from the tri-state area. ManUp encourages and teaches men to be godly leaders for their families, and raises awareness of the devastating impact of fatherlessness among youth today."

This year's event, according to the website, included Roethlisberger, Tomlin and Pirates manager Clint Hurdle.

We say it about Sam Darnold too

prediction they have fixed the line and Bell won't get fast. He will remain slow AF.

meanwhile gase will become the scapegoat for why Darnold can't use proper footwork while throwing the football

we make excuses for the player we want to make excuses for

but the truth (Bell stinks, Darnold isn't reliable) is like too jarring to face so we bury that crap

Unfortunately I dont think 12 step programs work for predatory violence predilections.  But fame can remove both the stigma and consequences of heinous actions. Many people might read this and "forgive" Rapelisburger, but some actions are so against the core of decent society they are not forgiveable in my view.

you can't compare since the surrounding talent on the teams is so much different.  imo darnold can easily make that throw.  it's really just a slant.  what darnold can't do as well as roethlisberger is shed would be tacklers.  ben is a tough guy to bring down.

Ben got owned by the Patriots.  Marino wasn't a particularly good big game QB either btw.  Nor was Peyton.

Brady and Montana are the 2 obvious choices.

Yeah, I agree about Brady and Montana.

After them, I’m sure if you polled 50 people, they might each have different names for #s 3 and 4.

I think I just might start a thread right now to find out.... ?
