Popular Post Greenbloodblitz
In his own words Nick Mangold said you have a great face for radio LOL! I know we all kind of beat the guy up back in the day but he really does have a good personality and he's very likable. He's now signed on to do the official Jets podcast and he's very natural. I think it's kind of strange that the Jets organization has such a bad reputation, yet they take care of their own so well. The players don't hate this franchise they always claim that they were well taken care of. Meaning I think it's pretty cool that they keep these guys in the mix when they're former players. That whole stuff about what do you do after you retire (Apollo Creed) that kind of stuff really rings true. What are we going to do now? I know this well as I had to hang up my singer-songwriter Rockstar persona when I had children and bought a home. I couldn't be a Father while I was touring Germany it wasn't happening. Back to the Sanchize.. congratulations to him. He really seems legitimately happy that the team asked him to be involved and that he's back in some way in the NFL. Good for him. 22
Legend Killa7
I agree. Say what you want about him, he was part of two of the three best seasons of Jets football I have been alive for (1998 being THE best). I watched the podcast he and Mangold do together on youtube recently, where they interviewed Zach. At the beginning, Woody came out and had Brick and Revis on zoom and announced that the three of them were being inducted into the ROH. I felt terrible for Mark. Not at all saying he deserves to go in, but man that had to be awkward. You could even tell Mangold felt weird around Mark!
Bronx
He loved dogs and chickens...they enhanced his flawless game. On a serious note, it is a great feeling to see Nick Mangold, Wayne Chrebet and Mark Sanchez heavily involved with the Jets media. Loyalty goes long ways and hopefully us fans can also reek benefits from years of suffering from humility and disappointments.
Tranquilo
Happy for him. He doesn't deserve all the sh*t he's taken when he was part of two of the best season's we've had in like a 20 year period. He wasn't the reason we lost those title games, either. Glad he's back. 2 1

Dcat
Nice guy. Not a franchise QB. I wish him well. Same for Darnold. I really don't want to be saying the same thing again in a few years (other than the nice guy part.) 1

Atrocious QB but I have no doubt he's a really solid guy. Having had a couple of good games in the post season for a team that plays in a huge media market, he can have a nice little gig to pay the bills for years to come. I was at the game in Oakland with @WestCoastOffensive when he snuck the hot dog. Strangest game ever. The Jets shutout the Raiders and we lost Leon Washington (one of my favorite Jets) for the season. I think it turned out to be Washington's last game as a Jet.

It seemed that He honestly enjoyed being part of the Jets and his teammates liked him as well. Too bad he wasn’t all that good at QB. Glad to see he’s is somewhat successful as an analyst he’s personable and doesn’t constantly yell to make a point
Greenbloodblitz
Hey cool responses guys thanks for not cutting me up lol. These dudes feel like old friends to me, it's been that long. Watching their genuine friendship around each other is a feel good type thing. I just saw the episode with Zach Wilson and he had some guy bring Mark Sanchez out some hot dogs which was absolutely hilarious. The guys going to the Ring of Honor deserve it. So as I've said before I'll be starting my own podcast soon. It'll be more about humor and true life stories than it will be about analytics and x's and o's. It will still be Jets based but it will be more about human beings and their emotions and feelings. For example did you know in wrestling Rowdy Roddy Piper was an amateur boxer and lied about his age and had his first match when he was 15? Sylvester Stallone actually did porn and carried around the script for Rocky for 10 years and insisted on starring in it and nobody would let him? Look what happened. Boomer Esiason has a special needs child. Anybody ever wonder what that guy's day is like? So when I drop this podcast I think it's going to be more about the people behind the Helmet. They are people just like you and me. Having millions of dollars in a mansion and cars and hot women doesn't change feelings. Or where these people came from. I personally think it'll be interesting to discuss these types of things. Drinks on me cheers~

To make it clear that was something Mangold had said to Sanchez... You can tell that they've been friends since they played together and they have a really good camaraderie. During one of the episodes Sanchez said something about Mangold's head being fat from partying too much and then Nick says to Sanchez can you say that in Spanish!!? I guess it's kind of like when you're heading out to the casino with your buddies or going to a bachelor party and everybody's talking sh*t and laughing? I like when it's genuine. When I watch or listen to something and I find myself smiling cuz I get the inside jokes, I like that sort of thing.

IMO, Mangold is terrible on that podcast. He's got a good personality and humor but he's not a great speaker for this kinda thing. Sanchez is way more natural with it. Would love if they embraced Rex into some of these things but I kinda get why they wouldn't. Too much of a loose canon.

I always liked Sanchez. He seems a nice fellow and 2009-2010 was a lot of fun. The come from behind wins were exciting and he played good football in the Playoff games. They lost the 2009 champ game because they ran out of DB's. They lost the 2010 champ game because the line judge refused to call holding against the Squeelers offensive line on their last scoring drive. Officials gifting the Steelers wins over better teams in the playoffs has been common since the 1970's.
