The word "generational" was thrown around with Lawrence. Slightly better than average to almost really good is not generational. Andrew Luck was the last "generational" QB prospect and he was on his way until he hurt his neck.

Each year there’s a guy drafted who’s better and in 2024 there will be another.  When you start counting the qbs who are as good or better you might hit double digits by next year.  Obviously better than what we have had

He’s so noticeably better than wilson it’s scary.  The pox has been lifted.

Just look at what Breece Hall is able to do when a functioning QB is under center vs what defenses do when Zach Wilson is in the game.

Siemian may not be good.  But he at least knows how to run an NFL offense.  He makes quick decisions and gets the ball out.  Not only was Breece more effective with Trevor in the game, but Siemian was only sacked 5 times in 140+ dropbacks after taking over in the Miami game.  Wilson had been sacked 4 times in his last 15 dropbacks before getting hurt.

Why does TLaw have to be really good to put the Jaguars in a much better place than the Jets?

Lawrence is a mid-level QB1 in this league.  Zach Wilson is a QB3 who will be out of the league by the time he’s Lamar Jackson’s age.

this doesn't need to be explained though. does it? it can't. can it?

Saleh trotting Tim Boyle out there instead of Trevor Siemian when we were still in the thick of the playoff hunt should be a fireable offense in and of itself. I cried about it when they announced Boyle too so this isn't hindsight.

Yup.  I said the same thing to my buddy at the bar this afternoon.  An awful lot about the QB position was mismanaged by this staff.

We handed the Pats the # 2 pick in a strong draft class dude.

They're picking #3 no? Also if it's such a strong draft would it matter if they picked #4 instead?

Yeah the Pats were so concerned about Trevor roasting them Breece ran wild 🤣.

When Zach Wilson plays, the entire front seven can sprint to the line of scrimmage because Wilson is never going to make the right pre-snap read. With anyone else, the defense at least has to play honest football

Not sure if people realize but Lawrence’s o line is almost as bad as the jets o line. Lawrence is good, maybe not best qb in the NFL good, but he can surely be a top 5-8 guy. Jax needs to do a better job protecting him.

A Belicheck coached team is not fretting over Simien , nice try but absurd take.

Given that # 3 locks them in to getting MHJ, yes, it matters.

That potential Zappe to MHJ connection has the entire NFL shaking in their boots.
