You really fake mad about this ? 1

Saleh actually said something like “it’s not like we’re trying to hide him or anything” 🫨🤣 They then proceeded to name him the unchallenged starter with zero competition 😂 BYU didn’t even think he was good enough to be automatically named. He was forced to compete. Yet the Jets believed he was ready to take the NFL by storm from day 1. Wilson was only forced to compete because he was coming off an injury the year before, and his backup had played well and deserved a shot. 1

Popular Post Larz
At Jets Rookie Minicamp, Staten Island's Patrick McSweeney Is Looking to Honor His Father, Who Died on 9/11 Decorated Firefighter Passed When Patrick Was 9 Months Old The job's not done." That's what tight end Patrick McSweeney said at Jets rookie minicamp in the empty fieldhouse at the Atlantic Health Training Center on Friday, gazing in awe at the banners of the Ring of Honor members that drape the walls. It's also what he thinks his father, Timothy, would say to him if he were alive. He died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks when Patrick was 9 months old. "Unfortunately, I don't really have any memories of being with my father physically, but I feel like I know him just through the stories," said McSweeney, who grew up a Jets fan on Staten Island. "A lot of stories of just who he was and his character, even old photos and videos. Just growing up and being myself, a lot of people will say I do certain things like him or act like him or I even sound like him or look like him. "I know that he's always with me and my family, so I feel like I have a great understanding for who he is. Even though I really don't have any memories from before he passed away, I feel I've met him and I feel like I've grown up with him." Timothy McSweeney, a former Jets season ticket holder, joined the FDNY in 1987 and won six awards for heroism before he died at 37 years old. He was a member of Ladder 3. Patrick, which was his father's middle name, tries to honor his father through football by wearing a different uniform – both with McSweeney on their backs. "Everyone gravitated towards him," said Patrick, whose favorite Jets include RB-KR Leon Washington, WR Santonio Holmes and C Nick Mangold. "He was always putting other people first. He was very selfless and something that I try to embody of his, it might sound cliché, but when he when he ran into that building, he was attempting to save innocent people. He really didn't care what those people looked like, what their race or religion was. He was just trying to save them. That's kind of what I always remember. "It's important to treat everyone fairly, treat them with respect and that's how I've always tried to be." 7

No, because the coach thought that the backup had earned the opportunity to challenge Zach, and he thought it would be good for Zach. It was not a negative on Zach's playing ability. #27TheDominator
I have not gone back through the entire thread, but no comments about Jaylen Key vs. Jayden Key at S? Did they bring Jayden in just in case they picked the wrong guy for Mr. Irrelevant? FWIW, I think his name is actually Jaden Key and he was all-Ivy and a captain at UPenn. S seems like a spot where there is a place for an UDFA. They signed Al Blades Jr. (Benny and Brian Blades nephew) who is kind of slow and Jarius Monroe who is kind of tiny. Both were listed as CB though Blades profile mentioned he might benefit from a switch to box safety. He comes from Duke by way of 4 years at Miami. Monroe is from Tulane and sounds more like a Lamarcus Joyner style slot CB/S hybrid. For tryouts they had the other Key and Jaylon King from Georgia Tech and a bunch they listed at CB but could switch. Obi Melifonwu is an interesting guy to have in. Great athlete did crazy in the jumps. I'm sure he was over 11' in the broad, but his agility numbers weren't great and he was overdrafted in the 2nd by the Raiders. I'm sure there @Raideraholic has an opinion which may or may not differ from posts about how great he would be from 2017 or 2018. Should be a good special teamer. If you check his bio he spent a lot of time "waived injured" which was a big part of his problem.
