hmhertz
We should concentrating in finding an offensive minded head coach and a forward thinking GM. A Bobby Slowik, Ben Johnson, Joe Brady, Todd Monken type. The only defensive guy I've even give a thought is Steve Spagnuolo. He's been leading top defenses for a long time and Maybe Andy Reid's innovative offensive thoughts were absorbed by him. Take a hike fat Joe you brought us Saleh, Becton, Wilson, Mims, and Elijah Moron. In a strong receiver and QB class we wound up with underwhelming Corley and soon to be retired Rodgers. We've got a headstart in the coaching search, use it. Don't let that fat putz be involved in any Jets future decisions, Remember how ass backwards it was to have another failed GM, Mike Maccagnan make future Jets decisions 1

Yeetin It
Go read/watch Woody Johnson’s statements. The organization thinks this team has lot of talent, and team is going to try to win. For better or worse they’re still in win now mode and we need to accept that.
TheNuuFaaolaExperience
You don't search for a replacement GM while the current one is under contract. The candidate will not respect or trust your organization ever again.
AFJF
And then when they bring that coach in, tank the 2026 season to land a QB. Then when they play said QB before he's ready and they go 4-13, it'll be awesome because they'll have a top pick in the draft. When the QB still sucks the year after, they can get another top 10 pick in 2028 which the new head coach can use on the QB of his choosing to start all over again. I am SO pumped right now.

JoeNamathsFurCoat
LOL Sure, or how about this: Instruct Coach Ulbrich to tarnish his own reputation (with the only opportunity he may ever get) by intentionally losing football games so the next regime can be set up for success with an optimal draft slot. Sounds like a genius plan! 😂

jamesr
Can't do anything about hiring a new HC till after the season anyway. It's not like we'll be ringing up Detroit this week for permission to speak to Johnson. Play the season out, do your best to win games, the rest of it can take care of itself. BigRy56
Yes we should be tanking for a QB!!! The Jets should be in win now mode every year, from now on. The Jets got themselves into this mess by tanking and chasing QBs and not stacking as much talent as possible. Now the team is caught in an endless cycle. Win now always, spend always, stop punting on seasons

You can start having the personnel firms compile candidates and do the research, but there's not many moves to actually be made until the regular season ends. Untouchable
Some of us are pushing 60 or older. I don’t give a sh*t about another rebuild. Rodgers at 70% of his former self is still better than any QB this team has had since the moon landing. Go get Davante Adams, come up with a band aid solution to get Reddick in the building, and let’s see if Ulbrich can bring a sense of discipline and urgency to the team. We beat the Bills in 6 days and we’re tied for 1st place. Stop thinking that this dogsh*t organization is even remotely capable of developing a young QB. Either Rodgers gets it done or myself and quite a few others around here are probably going to our graves without ever seeing a Jets Superbowl win. 1

Exactly…..We’re a whisper away from being 4-1….just an out of character miss from 50 from Greg the Leg(on an absolutely filthy, horrible day for playing football which is always a great leveller) and a half yard more air under Rodgers final pass on Sunday and it’s an entirely upside down narrative

Bronx
Saleh's firing changes the platform. I suggest that you standby on your emotions and let a few games roll. Also, clipboard magician will be fine, not only will he be holding the clipboard, but he will hand-dry AR8's jocks if necessary.

Corn
Just in case you missed here Woody Johnson agreed with many of the analyst throughout the league and media about what a great team was put together for the coaches. Frankly for several seasons now he has put together decent teams for the coach Which has underperformed significantly. It's been a great job by the GM Joe Douglas. Look at some of the other GM's that have no passion like JD. Look at the other Joe across the aisle who took their star running back their best player and gave it to their rival and it was in his power to not do that but he wanted to be nicey. He also took their star number one safety Didn't want to sign a contract and trade But just let him walk. Talk about a catastrophe look at that guy . Jd is a very safe gm few stupid contracts .Need a coach not a GM not easy to find a good coach but you found a good Gm. No need to gamble with another GM
Bugg
1 hour ago, kdels62 said: There is no point to winning we must prepare for the next future!!! Can't sell The Future with a 40 year old QB. This is desperate but it's the right move. When you haven't even been in the playoffs in 13 years and haven't hosted a home playoff game in forever, selling the next "we'll get it right next year" plan isn't palatable to anyone involved with the Jets. There's 12 games left, 2 teams in the division are garbage juice and the Bills have issues. This may not work but playing out the string with 12 games left to listen to Bobby Salad's mindless empty platitudes about fixing it or getting it right was a worse option.
