EBoob why didn't you do both picks? Did you forget to pm yourself.

I was in a freaking meeting with my boss when the PM's came in! Comical... Trying to take notes with 1 hand while trying to scroll through who was available then text with my retard left hand under the table. After 1st pick is done I'm asked to review some projects and update everyone in the room! That's where the delay came in. After I was done, back to feigning interest with the occasional nodding head routine while again trying to text 1 handed with my retard hand.

PS. Unlike some of the dead beat, living in Mom's basement, porn watching, popcorn eating sloths... I actually have a job!! :winking0001:

aren't you a sweetheart.

since you are so busy and important, what about just passing on your top 3 to T0m? wouldn't that be a simple solution?

Guys... feedback on my pick, reasoning, etc.

I'm not doing this because I think I know my sh*t, I'm doing it so that I can learn about the draft class. My feeling won't be hurt if I screwed up. I promise.

Why do you like Goldman? I didn't see where you explained but I honestly just don't think he's all that good.

Dude... get a sense of humor! I'm sharing this because I've got a couple of PM's coming in and I'm trying to do this crap with my boss at the other end of the desk. Only Jets football!

The last part was guy ball busting! When you get out of High School and get some pubes, you'll know what I'm talking about.

It's a blast if you have a sense of humor. Just sayin'

Curious as to what other think of the Gerod Holliman pick.  I think he is one of the most polarizing players in the draft.

Obviously he has some ball hawking ability and the speed to cover the back end of the field given the 14 interceptions, but I have also seen games where he is a huge liability -- doesn't tackle, poor in run support, takes bad angles to the ball and takes plays off.  Personally, I don't like what i have seen when I have watched him play and would not take him this high.  Not trying to be critical of the pick, just curious as to what others think of the guy beyond the 14 picks which is huge.  I have seen him projected to go anywhere from Round 2 to either 5 or 6.

I would be happy to see Rex take him in the 2nd.

As a SS he'd be awful but he could be a beast of a FS. Worth a chance in my opinion and a prefect Rex type.

the man who replaced Calvin Pryor in Louisville. A real ball hawk.  But he no-likey to tackle. That's the rap on him.

Some notes from a Cowboy draft article on Scout of all places:

Range

As with any free safety you must have good range. Holliman moves around well in defensive backfield. Someone who could snag 14 interceptions would have to. He shows the ability to get to a certain point on the field with very few wasted steps. This is a very positive trait if you want to play single high safety at the next level.

Coverage

Much like Holliman's range, his coverage skills are his biggest strength. He tracks the ball well and when it is in the air he goes after it. While going into his back pedal Holliman can also keep his eye on the quarterback. He has the ability to click-and-close which will serve him well at the next level.

Athleticism

Holliman shows his athleticism on the tape. He gets from sideline to sideline with ease. As stated before he doesn't use many wasted steps. He has the straight line speed needed to close on the ball carrier. This is what makes Holliman so infuriating to watch. He has all of the tools but Holliman can come off as lazy.

Overall

As much as his production stands out in the passing game, it is that much of a glaring hole in other parts. He shows little to no effort in attempting to step up and stop the run. His motor can be questioned. His tackling technique needs work. He doesn't wrap up and he attempts to tackle ball carriers with his right shoulder. Obviously he is still trying to protect his left shoulder that was injured two years ago.

Grade

Holliman isn't anywhere near where you want a top tier safety to be. His technique and motor can't be overcome by the gaudy interception numbers. It would be difficult to put him in this defense and mask his inadequacies in tackling. I would have problems taking him in the first or second round.

Thank you, so far I feel 2 need positions had good players fall to my spot. Peat at OT and White at CB.

I was thinking about picking up Kevin White in the 3rd round hoping he'd be there and pick up an OT and ILB in the late 1st and 2nd for the Saints. Something told me that White wasnt making it to the 3rd round and not to risk it. Dude shut down the other Kevin White when TCU played West Virginia. White from TCU exposed White from WV a little bit in that game.

Colts lose in playoffs because they can't stop the run. Everything I read projected him as a run-stuffing NT in a 3-4 defense.

That's all. As I told these guys, I don't know much about the draft class, so I'm doing this to get acquainted with prospects. It's hardly an informed pick.
