KRL
Only good teams or teams that are improving get to go to the playoffs. We are neither, so at this point we need to go home at the end of theseason: Offense - Poor job by Gailey in not adjusting his blocking schemes earlier. After Watt beat Giacomini ONE time he should've used a TE to helphim out. Don't wait until the second half after Watt has had a"Hall Of Fame" first half - Maccagnan must draft Brick's replacement this off-season. His play is slipping - What a wasted year for Smith. He's playing scared, soft and has donenothing but hurt us all year. He should've had two long receptions andone should've gone for a TD. But when you have "alligator arms" and getpushed off your routes ALL THE TIME you produce nothing - The "warts" in Fitzpatrick's game are really starting to show over thelast two games. Under 50% completion, 4 INT's and erratic accuracy Defense - The whole unit is underachieving and has been drastically overrated - Wilkerson if you want to get paid like Watt, have the same impact hedoes when he's playing on the same field. 16-17 million dollars a yearis for a player that refuses to be blocked and destroys any blockingscheme. Don't cry about your contract when you can't get to a 3rd/4thstring QB who was sitting on his couch two weeks ago - I MUST HAVE replacements for Davis, Pace, Coples and Cromartie nextyear. I'm tired of their acts: * Davis - poor tackling and no coverage ability * Pace - no edge speed * Coples - never making an impact * Cromartie - overall cluelessness - So now the Wildcat (which we practiced against for SIX YEARS) is somecomplicated unstoppable play??? Please - After a timeout YOU CAN'T HAVE too many men on the field. That's Ryan-esque Specials - I'm so sick of Kerley, WE MUST get a real punt returner next year. Raise your hand if your sick of seeing him "dance" or run out of boundslike a little girl on returns

jetscrazey
agree on all fronts. Gailey seems clueless. Fitz sucks now. Not being able to work under center as much has hurt. O-line looks tired and old. The running game is MIA. The 4 players you pointed out on defense all need to go. The silver lining is there's no guaranteed money next year for any of those guys, so they can be let go with zero penalty. Maccagnan needs to draft/sign replacements. frankiepapa
We need to start pushing the tempo on offense...nothing wrong with the hurry up in the first quarter...we need to show some sense of urgency...we need to move the chains after a second and two or three...two plays to get two or three yards should be a no brainer
Matt39
For the amount of resources dedicated to the defense you'd expect more... but holy crap can we please start drafting and identifying offensive talent...across the league you see guys scoring TD's and making plays. We have Stevan Ridley who runs like a grandma as depth.
Villain The Foe
There is nothing to be done about JJ Watt. I agree with most everything else here. I felt like last draft we should have traded down and picked up LT Andrus Peat and a top level Guard. D'Brick is finished. He's a Jets legend but the man is done. Barkus
agree about demario davis, I think his contract may be up anyway but he needs to go. Cromartie will almost certainly be cut also. The 2 of them have given up at least 10Td passing combined, disgusting. Pace is at the end of the road, won't kill the guy, but he is done. Brick and revis are both slipping, but nobody beats father time, they are still useful. I'm not ready to kill gailey yet, he will be back. devin smith has been just awful, he is costing us games. He looks worse than stephen hill and that is scary. kellen davis is useless and should be cut also QB is still a problem, fitz is a backup and should not be a starter if you want to win. Long Island Leprechaun
As so often, a season that began by generating some optimism has descended into mediocrity and unwatchability. I'm now officially at the point where I just don't really care that much about the Jets. A defense mechanism, I know, but I refuse to let the Jets ruin another Sunday. And I won't be baited back in when they scrape out a win against the Titans or some other bottom-dweller. I don't see heart, I don't see discipline, and I don't see return on investment. Just a bad team at this point. Such a waste.

mickeyshuler
Maybe we should send an email and remind the coaches that they Have CHRIS IVORY on the roster, they must have forgotten cause he stood on the sideline 80% of the game. Same to a lesser degree with Kerley, I don't care how fast he isn't or less of a blocker, at least he can catch the ball, nothing but scrubs behind Decker and Marshall and zero TE'S. Powpow
Good stuff. next year's roster will hopefully have Mac's stamp on it all the more. Goners: Pace, he has seen better days....DBrick, is a liability now and is owed 9 mil next year (don't think so).....Cro, brutal just brutal......Geno Smith, please let the door hit you on the way out....Coples, a waste product from day one....D Davis, do not collect $200 and go directly to jail...... So many others I would like to see jettisoned like Winters, Giacomi, Devin Smith, Cumberland, K Davis. We need to revamp the OL desperately. Get Mauldin on the field and a bonafide OLB wo can pass rush. Mac MUST find a QB this coming season. Keep Fitz as a back up while Petty continues to learn. Get a WR to stretch the field who can CATCH the ****in ball!!!! Get a scat back that can break a run longer than 20 yards. Our secondary and DL are deep and our strength (I guess) and our needs must be focused on the above mentioned.

Freemanm
I am the fool who thought we had a Super Bowl worthy team after we beat the Colts. Crucify me for being excited. This team obviously needs a QB, and Geno isn't it. Revis is still slightly above average, but way past his prime. Cro is clueless. The D line is still excellent but with a weak secondary can't be effective. On offense Marshall and Decker have disappeared and Kerley was always a waste. Teams stack the line against the run and the Jets have no answer. Once again aim we have to go back to the drawing board. Galley sucks. Jetster
Drafting has KILLED this team. Damario "bad angle" Davis....SUCKS, Dee "fragiley" Milliner...BUST, Geno "mopey-dopey" Smith...BUST, Quinten"lazy azz" Coples...BUST, Jace "always hurt & out of shape Amaro...BUST, Dexter "I'll never be ready" McDougle....BUST, Devin "Charmin" Smith....BUST, Brian "turnstile" Winters...BUST. I'm just talking about the guys that are STILL HERE not all of them that are already gone. We have got to start getting more out of the draft. This offseason is gonna be a HUGE MONETARY cleansing again. Brick, Cro, Coples, alone are like 21 million. I'd like to see us draft a center too, Mangold isn't getting any younger or slimmer, it's like he's carrying Quints.
Ex-Rex
Not only didn't Gailey adjust his blocking scheme he didn't change his play calling either. Calling for deep passes when you can't block Watt is just dumb. By the time he finally went to dump offs and short quick passes the Jets were down 14. Jets have got to upgrade the o-line in a big way. Mangold can't be counted on anymore and Ferguson is slowing way down. Also, the Jets need a speed threat to open things up underneath and Devon Smith isn't it. Alligator arms and is a wanna be start who will never be. Matt39
The scouts who provided the data for this draft were still from the old guard. 2016 draft is where we'll hopefully see changes aka more talent. Rangers9
Give me an OC who does what he has to do to win and doesn't care about being creative. Gailey is trying to be exciting calling big plays all the time instead of being satisfied with a nice long drive that eats up clock and keeps your defense off the field. I don't want excitement all I care about is competent game management. We don't have the horses to do what he wants to do.

Other teams are challenging the Jets to beat them in the air. Problem is Fitz doesn't have the arm for the intermediate stuff , he either throws rainbows downfield or passes under 10 yards. To sustain drives you need the intermediate throws to drop the LB's and safeties , until the Jets start hitting those consistently it will be more of the same each week. Beerfish
People are talking wayyyyy too much about the offense, it is what i thought it was going to be. Limited by QB play, need to have the rest of the offense play really well to score more than 20. No surprise at all. The thing that is losing this team games is a slow, pedestrian defense and disgraceful special teams. For every oc or QB thread there should be about 5 about how awful our defense is.
