Told you this was happening, I knew Fitzy couldn't leave millions on the table & with Foles being cut his agent didn't want to tempt fate. Looking forward to Fitz having a healthy full camp. At least we KNOW FOR SURE we'll look like a professional offense. We never have the full package so we always have to settle. If only we could put Fitz brain inside Genos body.

Oh well, back to the game manager but with this defense, we'll win a lot of games with just a slightly above average offense that protects the ball. If Bowles finds a punter & a punt and kick off returner we could have another exciting season.

Rappoport:

Jimmy Sexton was demanding $18 million

Fitzpatrick knew he'd sign if the offer got to $12 million

Jets increased offer to what Fitz wanted, not what the agent was asking for.

Mac wins

I heard that. Also the Jets 3 year 24 deal was on the table until today. They could have settled this a long time ago.

Tons of mixed emotions with the signing of the Demario Davis of QB's:

Pros

- Offensive continuity can continue
- His ability to get the ball out fast can cover for any OLine weakness we have
- The deal is for only one year

Cons

- Media and fans are acting like Rodgers is finally coming into camp (NOT!!!)
- Front office raised their offer when he had nowhere else to go
- He wasted the whole off-season when he could've been working on chemistry
- Has he been working out and with who?
- Are people forgetting how bad he was in the final BUF game when EVERYTHING was on the line?

I hope it works out and he can build on last year but he better be on point.  He's
not going to get any benefit of the doubt from me

It would be SOJ to not sign the QB with one of the best statistical seasons in the teams history. That alone makes it worth it to me.

And those are very big cons, especially the FO negotiating against themselves and caving. Working out? Judging by his golf picture, heck no.

uh oh, I hope no one else has rented out that $10k/month house yet

Fitz is probably moving to a place with 24hr security.  He knows what's coming this year.  Same thing that happens whenever a team is gullible enough to pay big for him.  He doesn't want to be cleaning eggs off his house Monday mornings.
