He has a very big, fluid arm and clearly a great athletic build, but he has limited touch and was not great in the RZ against air. 300 attempts in college, he is too raw for me at 2. If he trades out to #8, and the QB's are gone, then I am quite sure there would be a plan to trade down again and keep stockpiling, or grab one of the top receivers. Then, keep building a team. Run it back with Sam for a year. By the time he's done, I am sure he will have three 1sts next year. That would be ample supply of ammo to move up for one of Sam Howell, Kedon Slovis, Bo Nix, or whichever QB shows up large in 2021. Again......Chess not checkers. At the press conference Saleh talked about how important it was for him to be at the pro days to see the spin of the ball come out of the QB arm. And if we had the 6th pick (or lower) I would be excited at the prospect of landing him. Jet's would be incompetent not show up at his pro-day - but they have their guy at 2.
