Almost twenty years ago. Then drank himself out of the band. Actually, a couple of days ago, I just heard his new band, The Halo Effect. Stromblad's teamed up with a bunch of ex-In Flames guys, with Dark Tranquility's Mikael Stanne on vocals. Very DT-esque with some old IF touches. Not bad at all.
