JAX Josh Allen, Shenault & Bartch: Covid+

Recommended Posts

Watch Zach put up some big numbers in this game (and he might now that he's facing the type of competition that he's more accustomed to) and people will pull out the "a win is a win!" card.

Ftr, I hope Zach turns things around.  I just don't think we're going to learn much if this is the game he does it in.

So wait, you’re already promoting that if Zach has a good game it doesn’t count?

Wow, just wow.

just strange that you’re more concerned with Jet fans being happy about their QB doing well than their QB actually doing well.
it’s a very strange time to be a Jet fan. Strangest I can remember.

I want Zach to do well but this is not the week we're really going to learn much even if he does do well.

sh*t, I’m intrigued by this game. Haven’t watched one in 2 seasons but this seems like a beautiful disaster.

I could be wrong but I feel like you haven't been posting for a long time.  I guess that makes sense for a "Creepy Lurker" though.

In any case, glad to have you back!

What about having a Covid-only game?  Like, you need to HAVE Covid to play.  They could quarantine the small number of guys without Covid and just put the Covid guys on the field?  There's no doubt they could put together an officiating crew full of Covid+ guys as well... refs are always running around at a crowded bars after games.  At least I know that to be the case in Boston because they get their drinks paid for. ;)

The reason I want the Jets to lose is not to pick higher.  I would them to have a more valuable pick to trade down.  Walking away with 3-4 first round picks in this draft would set this team up for a long time, because they need so many players.

Same here.  I'd be cool with multiple trade-downs actually.  Get extra picks for both this and next year.  Then next year do the same.  Belichick did that for years (acquire future picks by trading down) and they were a great team.  We're a crappy team and we don't do that.

Are you sure you want another season with that many rookies starting? We already have 9 picks including 4 in the first 2 rounds. If we're trading down I hope it's to push draft capital forward to 2023 where there's a good chance we need to go QB yet again. The Jets need to start winning games in 2022 - having a bunch of rookies on the field is nice for building a foundation but isn't that great for winning games.

The Jags’ replacement QB is going to seed the Jets’ defense massively.

The recipe is there: weak D, staffs that don’t apparently adjust for the new QB and slight Jet fan optimism.

Sorry, spell check error- he’s not going to seed the Jets, he’s going to “repoills” them. ( credit to anyone who can remember this JI reference).

It counts when Zach does not have a supporting cast, and doesn’t count when the other team  is missing key players. Don’t you know how it works ?

JD would be a moron if he trades for picks next year, because he may not be using them.
