What should Coach Saleh do?

What should Robert Saleh do before the next game?

  1. 1. How should Robert Saleh proceed?

    • Bench Zach and try another signal caller for the remainder of the season
    • Fire Hackett and replace himewith Middleton
    • Nothing because JD holds the key to the Humbler Robert is wearing (Google it at your own discretion).

Ask any coach in the NFL what they should do when their staring QB does down in play 4 of the season.

I guess you think that means we start throwing 70% of the time. Zach is sh*t, we know that. It’s the coach’s job to hide some turd.

I’d modify the first option. Start Zach but have a MUCH shorter leash. Don’t be afraid to pull him in the 3rd Q if the offense is completely stalling.

Zach should have been launched into the sun months ago. The fact that he is 1. still on the roster and 2. still the starter should be a firable offense for both JD and saleh. Chargers give up 400 yards on defense per game and we can barely gain a first down on them. Complete joke.

Bench Wilson and see if somehow Boyle or Trevor can spark the offense, sure. BUT the truth is that a better backup QB needed to be brought in over the summer, or at the very latest, as soon as Rodgers went down. I still don't get how Wentz can't even get a sniff from teams like the Jets - dude must be a humungous tool.

We all know Saleh isn't going to bench Wilson right now, but even if he did, it feels like too little, too late. QB had to be addressed immediately after we lost AROD on opening night.

It's not fun to say, but ZW is the best non-injured QB on the roster. If ZW is benched and the other guys are just as lousy or worse, it's just 2022 again juggling bad QBs between injuries.

Hackett is doing a lousy job with lousy tools, but it's on the coaches to figure out how to get the most out of the roster available to them. There's nothing good about the offensive playcalling and nothing seems designed to limit the weaknesses across the offense.

Common denominator in bad offense last 3 years & 2 systems = Zach Wilson … every other QB that has seen the field for the Jets has had more success. How much of this kid with no internal clock and zero awareness who looks completely lost 95% of the time do we have to see? It’s time for Boyle, Siemian or Uncle Rico - anybody not named Zach. He’s held his team back for 2 seasons now. We already knew last year that he was 🗑️ I’m so done with this clown

The GM’s blind obeisance to Rodgers is the reason we have these useless stiffs eating up cap space and roster spots:

Billy Turnstile

Allen Lounge Lizard

Ancient Cobb

Dalvin Cooked

He’s also the reason we don’t have Carr or Lamar, last year’s 2nd round pick and next year’s 2nd round pick.

He will also be the reason they pass on Shedeur Sanders.

This is shaping up to be the worst investment of all time by going all in on 40 year old AR.

You 100% have to start the other QBs just to confirm how bad the rest of the offense is too. They aren’t expected to do well but it will be eye opening to see the comparison like with Mike White last year. Nail in the coffin for Zach but also this atrocious offense that JD built. That will dictate how dire the off-season will be if they don’t fix it and focus on offense 100%.

benching wilson for at least a game to see if it changes anything for the better has to be in the cards. when you want a different answer to the same equation you have to change one of the variables

So true and it's the only position you can change that will impact everyone. Multiple things wrong but start with the QB and take it from there.

Oh he will wait until playoff contention is over to replace Zach. Meaning Saleh and JD ready to throw the entire season away betting on zach. Everyone in the world knows where Zach belongs, just like last yr. The problem is they waited too long, and very easy winnable games were thrown away while Zach self destructed. Doing it again this yr
