yes.

ESPN reports:

The two New York teams will now play on an updated version of FieldTurf — a recent edition called FieldTurf Core system, which is the first multilayer dual-polymer monofilament fiber.

The heavyweight infill design claims to deliver a lower incidence of total injuries compared to various infill weights. The performance and durability of the surface are backed by multiple independent certified sources and was tested to 200,000 cycles on the fiber wear test by Penn State’s Center for Sports Surface Research.

The change took place after a groundswell of complaints from players and a consistent uptick in injuries.

“Installation of the new FieldTurf CORE system reinforces the commitment we have to providing the best playing surface for our teams,” president and CEO of MetLife Stadium Ron VanDeVeen said in a statement. “The research that FieldTurf has put into the heavyweight infill design for this new field system will equip MetLife Stadium with one of the premier surfaces in the league.”

‘bounce back’ characteristics.

The comparison is not apples to apples.  Vikes play in a dome.  The Jets and Giants play 3 home games apiece every season in 40-50 degree rain which is effin’ absurd and hazardous…

The MetLife turf is a joke. The Jets and Giants are collectively worth $12+ billion and gaslight fans and players into believing that improving the turf is an impossible feat of science.

Put grass down and get on with it. The Jets wasted draft picks and $100+ million to watch their QB's achilles explode on the fourth play of the season.

If that doesn't motivate Woody to put grass down, nothing will.

It's all about money and everything in NJ costs more than in most other states from houses, property taxes, the cost of labor, etc...

The average home price in NJ for 2023 is around 500K which is more than 3 times what it is in West Virginia and several other states.

Did the Jets & Giants owners/organizations have enough money to have built a dome stadium like Minnesota and many other teams have . . . YES. Were they willing to spend that extra money to pay the unions for the labor and cost of materials to build a dome stadium . . . NO.
