I mean JD hasn’t “neglected” the OL. It just hasn’t worked out. He’s used top resources in all his picks and now is on pace to burn another 1st rd pick on more OL.

Becton - 1st rd

Tomlinson- big $$ free agent

Tippman- early 2nd rd

AVT - 1st rd

AVT cost us an additional two 3rds as well

You see, the thing about being a GM is, you have to spend your high draft picks and cap figures on players who *don't* suck.

JD has invested premium assets on the OL. Those decisions have largely been wrong.

Becton - 1st round pick - bust

AVT - 1st round pick - very good but injured

Laken - Big contract - bust

Tippmann - 2nd round pick - TBD

He’s also signed stop gap veterans like Fant, Moses and McGovern.

He hasn't made good decisions.

Spot on.

Also spent draft picks on Warren (4th round) last year, Mitchell in 2022 (4th round) and Cameron Clark in 2020 (career ending injury).

If someone ploughs into the side of my car while I'm driving carefully - that is not neglect on my behalf.

If I get injured because I saved some cash by buying a car with a poor crash test rating - that is my issue, not the other driver's.

Woody, as an ESPN hack, likes to speak in generalizations about the Jets “Maaaaaaaaaaaaaan the defense, I’m tellin ya. Wooooo” and “Maaaan the coaching, it needs some HELP.” But, like all ESPN hacks, never gets specific about his complaints for fear of alienating anyone or anything. In this instance, Woody says this about the OL, but says nothing about Mekhi Becton being a bag of sh*t and, to the contrary, slurps Becton’s balls on Twitter all season. Maybe Woody can follow up his “Maaaaan, this offensive liiine. I’m tellin ya!” with an explanation of how Becton sucking and being a sandbag has kneecapped Douglas’ OL build from the start.

2 first round picks, 1 second round pick, multiple mid-round picks, and 2 high-priced FA signings = Neglect!!!!!

It's totally fair to criticize him for getting those choices wrong, but saying he neglected the O-Line is completely false.

JD's predecessor neglected the O-Line. He has not. Not even close.

dude he neglected it. he relied on a twice seriously injured player who wasn't really much good even when healthy. he relied on duane brown to be bale to com ein and play despite bet even being able to practice for most of training camp. he relied on AVT to come back from a major injury and play. he rlied on a crappy center and rookie who had to come in a play in his place. JD neglected the oline so badly this year that it got our star qb injured in 4 plays and made the offense virtually unplayable with how bad they were. breece hall was avergind 0 yds before contact. thata abysmal. JD's handling of the oline alone should have gotten him fired, but woody is a moron

He only had one pro bowl caliber starting OL.  The rest were old JAGS or been injured.

if your expensive car keeps breaking down and you don't properly address the problemsand then it stalls in an intersection and the brakes suck and you get t-boned....well thats neglect. idc how much you payed for the damn thing

Tweet this at Woody lol.  See what he says.

Also, Douglas drafted Becton over Tristan Wirfs.

End of the day same result unless we should take solace in it being incompetence instead of neglect? Personally, my fat ass sees zero difference.

To me, this most concerning part is how some key players on this team are often speaking out on twitter and continue to think it's ok.  Really makes me question the leadership of this coaching staff and the respect level the team has.  My only hope is the respect Rodgers brings to the building will clean some of this up because it's obviously not coming from the coaching staff.

Breece has got a little diva in him.  He says the right things when interviewed so not sure why he whines on Twitter.  They were crushed with injuries and a lack of continuity.  No need to sht on the guys that were there.

If a grenade has exploded the O line  every year Douglas has been here than maybe he's the one showing up with the grenade? This clown was suppose to be O line specialist. I guarantee @bitonti  could have picked us a better O line.

maybe? It doesn't make any sense to me how a GM is to blame for o-linemen who have a clean health history come here and get injured but I'm open to learn.

Me either honestly. But, having a competent training staff and making could decision on injuries has to be some ones responsibility. We have a training staff like a F-ing minute clinic at a CVS. Look at a team like the Steelers medical squad. But I'm sure the GENERAL MANAGER isn't responsible for such things. Safe to say since Sal tripped that player our medical staff has blown donkey balls. But hey it's cool. not Joes fault!

Drafting Mekhi Becton over Tristan Wirfs, signing Laken Tomlinson to a $40 million contract in order to be the worst guard in the division, and getting squeezed by the Packers (despite having all the leverage) to swap 2023 first round draft picks as part of the Rodgers trade, and subsequently getting outfoxed to miss out on Broderick Jones.... those are among the OL blunders that are JDDDDDD's fault.
