Greenseed4
https://www.si.com/nfl/cowboys/news/dallas-cowboys-cut-tyron-smith-injury-san-francisco-49ers-ir-roster-move-cap idk From 2020 to 2022 he played in 17 out of 50 games. We could probably save a lot of money by signing Baktahri if our goal is to hope an injury-prone LT turns it around. At least DBs injury was all in his knee and they think his last surgery may have solved. Plus the whole AR buddy thing.

Bahktiari is worse than Smith, more injury prone and played 13 games the last 3 years to Smiths 28 games.
Popular Post neckdemon
This guy's hasn't had a fully healthy season since 2015. And past 4 seasons have been the worst of them all for his availability. WE DO NOT NEED TO WASTE MONEY ON ANOTHER INJURY PRONE OLINEMAN!!!! 9

If you want to go get a tackle in FA he will have issues, olienman with no issues never make it to FA. 9
83Kelly2Allen18
He is breaking down physically and cannot be counted on. Its possible you can squeeze maybe one year out of him but even then he's not the same player he was 5-6 yrs ago. Id stay away. But much like Bakhitari, if you do sign him, you need a viable option behind him

Sperm Edwards
21 minutes ago, 32EBoozer said: Why is that? I just got it up to $80MM without any wishlist of cutting any other veteran (*coughmosley*) besides Uzomah, plus it further presumes they have to eat 100% of Zach's contract, plus it's also before cutting any number of camp fodder players (15-20 of them so far, at an average of ~$900K each). Whether they will or won't do it, it's there for Douglas to do, and any number of available moves have a pretty high chance of it happening with his job on the line. Granted it's also before they bring back several others (e.g. figuring Solomon Thomas, Zuerlein, maybe Hardee, and possibilities of the likes of McGovern, Hall, Woods or Jefferson, etc.) as they go FA shopping. There's a decent chance at least one of the restructures below ends up being a cut (or a restructure plus a pay cut). Too early to tell, and it's anyone's guess what the Jets' brain trust is thinking (note the intended sarcasm for both the terms "brain trust" and "thinking"). It is also why we cannot expect our GM (no matter who it was, is, or will be) to find quality linemen in FA five weeks into the season when there have been ten injuries. Payday! Smith shrugs and takes the deal, half-assing it through a final season or two.

rangerous
Trotting out all of these injured, older, left tackles speaks volumes to just drafting a top one and be done with it. Of course that also means drafting one without a significant injury history.

Then we won 2 meaningless games to build culture that probably knocked us out of starting LT in 2024 range

A rookie LT that may not be there. Fashanou and Alt may likely be gone. Trent Brown would be an overpaid reach. He's not elite. If they sign Smith or Bajharti, they could back either up with Warren who was decent. Then draft a RT lke Fugua or Latham or Mims or Guyton. LT Smith or Bakharti, LG Tippman, C Tyler Badshi, RG AVT, RT Fugua - Depth - Warren, McGovern, Mitchell, etc. - I could roll with that. They have to decide before the draft what they are going to do at LT- No? If they sign a LT then they are drafting a RT. If they sign a RT, then they are drafting a LT - No? PackersNation
Can you idiots at least spell Bakhtiari correctly? You can abbreviate it to Bakh, if you are having problems remembering how to spell all the players names you dream of acquiring while dumpster diving in Green Bay.
