Saleh feels he needs "leaders" on the field because he's a weak leader himself. Mosley knows where his bread is buttered, and is a lapdog for Saleh. Also in case you didn't notice of late, no one else with serious options wants to play here. Since obviously no one else wants Mosley either, in that regard it's a good fit for the two sides. Duh. This is also the same GM gave Ryan Griffin an extension, too. Keep that in mind. 2

DoubleDown
Good financial move, hopefully the Jets can squeeze two more years out of him before he hits a wall. A fall off in his play is a very real possibility though so this is definitely a bit of a risk. He's better than many people on this board would have you believe.

Sorry, but that's a pretty off-base take. Just because Hardman is sour grapes doesn't mean people don't want to play here. Times have changed; we're not stuck in the past where maybe some FAs were hesitant about the Jets. Even then, we still attracted plenty of free agents Mosley has been an exceptional Jet. Blaming him or any player for being overcompensated is short-sighted and frankly ridiculous. That's on the GM and owner, not the player. Mosley's performance speaks for itself, and he'd start on any team in the league, except maybe those with a top 10 player in his position I get it, you're a die-hard SOJN member, but come on, this is a stretch. Saleh, like every other coach, wants leaders in the locker room. And let's set the record straight—Saleh is far from a weak leader, no matter how much you want to spin it Sure, injuries are frustrating, but that doesn't validate the baseless claims you're trying to make

They gave him a deal that is a little better than what Bobby Wagner got. Probably told him he could test free agency but was not getting any much better than what they were offering. Agree. Also, it would not have effected FA additions until after 4PM yesterday, when teams needed to be under the cap. Is the harping really worth the 12 hours missed on day 4 of FA?

Sperm Edwards
The Jets have never finished as a .500 or team with CJ Mosley playing on it. They were 7-9 in 2019, but 7-7 when Mosley didn't see the field and 0-2 with him. He played for 5 minutes in a week 1 loss, quit for a month, returned for another Jets loss in week 6, and then again then quit on his teammates for the rest of that season and then again the entire following season. #leader One day the CJ Mosley type of player will not be on this teamTM 1 1 2
