T0mShane
It'd be wise to dump him at the Bye, let the media bust their nut over the last couple weeks, then go into the offseason without that distraction.

flgreen
He shouldn't, but he will. Don't sleep on a "Idzik and "his pick" Geno dumped, Rex retained" possabillity tho. Nah, can't see it, and I'm a Rex fan, team is falling apart, and that's on Rex. He's a goner

FloridaJetsFan
I want everyone gone now, just in case we "overachieve" like last year and end up doing something stupid, like bringing any of these clowns back. ZERO chance of that happening! Don't lose a wink of sleep.
Bugg
I didn't see the game, looks like the chiefs sprinted out to an early lead and it was even from there out jets had more yards, 1st downs and TOP was it just the same mistakes as usual ? Stats again don't tell the full story. Team jumps out to a big lead, and then pretty much milks the clock all day knowing the jets' offense is a noncombatant. GenoandtheJets
Rex Ryan is not at fault. Idzik should be gone because he is the architect of this horrendous roster. The owner hopefully realizes that he needs to bring in Harbaugh or Gruden or Cowher to this team as head coach in the offseason.

jack48
Truth. Defense still wins championships. If you play great defense in the Super Bowl you will win that game. It just happens that teams have to have offense to get there. Defenses have their days. It is hard to be great defensively every game. Last year I think if Seattle did not have home field advantage they probably watch the Niners play in the Super bowl. They are having more trouble this year. There are a lot of games along the way where you have to have offense to win.
jack48
Because there is no upside to accelerating the inevitable. Not sure I want DT making the calls for the defense. Or Marty deciding whether to go for it or not. He had his problems with that in Detroit. I just wish Rex would not have so many embarrassing losses at this point. Lose quietly then go away. NYJ37/12
Actually, it allows you to get a jump start on the other clubs that will be looking for new HCs I get that, but who on the staff is taking over? ebonix
The problem is this staff is pretty terrible. Who do you want to replace Rex the rest of the way? Idzik should be gone yesterday. Rex will stay till December. Then its musical chairs. Somebody has got to address scouting and player development. Why has the secondary allowed to becomes so horrible.? A.Allen was an inbox LB/Safety hybrid who Rex talked up like he was the greatest find since Night Train Lane. see below... ......"/ Antonio Allen: It was yet another day of Allen getting beaten left and right in coverage. Whether he was playing cornerback or safety, whether he was playing man or zone, Allen was roasted. Rex Ryan finally had enough and pulled Allen out of the game in the second half. It has become painfully clear that Allen is not a quality regular player in the NFL, and it has nothing to do with the ill-fated attempt to make him a cornerback. Last year Allen entered the season with zero expectations. Nobody was expecting him to do anything well. He had some nice games against the run, and he did a solid job against Rob Gronkowski, although Gronkowski still went over 100 yards in that game. He beat the extremely low expectations people had, but that didn't make him a great prospect. There were still glaring holes in his game, particularly in coverage. The Jets shouldn't have signed Ed Reed last year, but it's not difficult to understand why they did. They saw that Allen's deficiencies in coverage were going to get exposed"

Latinlawyer
There is only one way that Rex is gone by thanksgiving..here is the scenario: 1) Rex, on TV, walks to the middle of the field, lowers his trousers and proceeds to dump out last night's burritos in a stinky fashion...THEN 2) In the post dump press conference, Rex states "Q-Tips are a rip, better to use a pencil eraser to clean out your ears..." Then 3) Rex states on that samepress conference "It was Woody's idea to get rid of Revis, I told him that was a terrible idea but he said it had to be done." THEN 4) Woody comes into the press area to confront Rex and Rex runs at him and gives him an RKO(Wrestling fans will know Randy Orton's signature move) knocking Woody out. THEN 5) Rex finishes the day by peeing on the unconcious Woody and saying "F that Baby Shampoo, it does sting your eyes!" Then Woody is awoken and gives the go ahead to extend Rex for one more year and Rex refuses the extension and THEN Woody finally lets his man crush Rex go via termination... Yeah that seems about right. That is the only way Rex gets fired by Thanksgiving.
