CanadaSteve
First his running back can't hold onto the ball, which is ALL he has to do, and then that disgraceful display by his defense. He has proven he has no control over this team, and cannot win when it counts. If he has a job on Monday, Cincinnati ownership deserves what it gets. jetsfan_toronto_canada
Why was Joey porter on the field there? He's not the trainer... Not defending that chocke job but wondering why porter is out there baiting bengals... I mean I don't know that he did or said anything, but given his history you have to be suspicious - it's not a chip shot without the pacman penalty - which he is an idiot for getting. Gas2No99
the League is a JOKE with these COMPLETE BS penalty calls of unnecessary roughness/shots to the head. The NFL HAS the DIRECT TAP IN to the Ref's ear to correct those erroneous calls, but never do. Only to "add more time" to the clock or save Pitt/NE/GB with a stupid Ref's TO to buy them more time. It's really insulting to fans who LIVED through the 80s & 90s - even more so for the walking Stiffs on viagra like MeowMeow who have been watching since the days of Sauer. Once the Jets win it, I'm done with this watered down league.

The game has changed. 20 years ago Bufict gets an extension to his contract, MVP for the game, and his own video game. Today he's labeled a criminal, a head hunter and a deranged fool. Political correctness. Thanks Goodell for ruining the NFL.

Come now, an elder statesman of your historical longevity should be more mature than to start such a petulant melee as name calling? What's got your britches in a bind? But I DO AGREE that Teams of Yester Years would be barred by the league in today's version of Goodell's $$$ printing league. It's a shame. I sadly find myself more and more on YouTube watching full NFL games from the 70s, 80s, & 90s; so much more enjoyable than today's pu$$y-league tripe that wreaks of about as much masculinity as a post-pubescent millennial rocking Aqua Velva coiffing their Faux-Hawk. Gas2No99
Cmon you just called me Meow Meow. I have two cats also - they didn't appreciate that. I realized AFTER the FACT my veiled, but good-hearted, reference to a JN poster - no one in PARTICULAR comes to mind but I guess there may be some congruity in my banter. Funny, I'm a dog person. I agree the NFL is just not what it used to be. Health issues/safety aside, it's the TIMING and INCONSISTENCY (no Flag on Pitt LB Shazier for SPEARING & SKULL CRUSHING Cincy's Bernard) with these COMPLETELY SUBJECTIVE calls (instant replay verifies 1/2 the time there was no actual infraction per Letter of the Rulebook) that COMPLETELY CHANGE the OUTCOME of the game. It's frustrating and disheartening. The game has lost credibility, much like our society & institutions, to the point you TRULY QUESTION the LEGITIMACY of the league and "their favorites." Your explanation is about as convincing as the refs calling those penalties vs. the Bungles. WelI, I do have two cats and a dog so maybe I'll change my screen name to Meow Pow Meow. That hit to Gio was totally a penalty. It knocked him out of the game. Shazier should have been ejected. And your take on our society is on point. This whole country is going to the entitled snobs who think their crap don't stink. Brainwash the young to make more money to buy more stuff. Its just never enough though and this mentality continues to breed shallow and plastic personas.

j4jets
That penalty on Burfict was wrong. The receiver was going for the ball while the defender had his head lowered and tackled with his shoulders. It's not his fault Antonio also had his head lowered in the line of fire. Defender has every right to knock the ball out of the receivers hand and since it happens so quick, there's not enough time to adjust when the receiver doesn't catch it. Happens every game. Pacman needs to be cut. He cost them the game. A 50 harder isn't a chip shot there.

CrazyCarl40
Joey Porter, who's a **** really should have been flagged first for getting on the field. Coaches and trainers routinely go on the field when a player is injured. Also, many Bengals defensive players went on the field during one scrum, including Burfict, which should be a penalty. Not excusing anything, but at least Porter has a valid reason in theory.

I don't like the Steelers, but that was so obviously a penalty that I don't even know what to say. The ball was through Brown's hands and ten yards down the field when Burfict launched himself helmet first into Brown's helmet. Blatantly a penalty. It's not even a debate. Pacman's problem was putting his hands on the refs. Without that, there would have been no flag. Just really really stupid behavior on both counts by the Bungles.
