Our defense is 2nd best run defenders in the league and that's with a defense riddled with injuries.

This is the secret sauce that is being missed in this lost season of injuries...Our defense has been decimated by injuries and even with that we have been pretty damn good. lol we are running backups to backups out there against starters. No, we don't have enough for these guys to win the game without a functioning offense but lets give them some credit please.

Would still trade him. You know why?! This game shows me if Darnold has solid time to throw, everything goes well!

So trade Jamal and build that OL!!

Or just stop drafting defensive linemen with 1st round draft picks and instead draft offensive linemen?

How was Quinnen Williams today?

and lose the beating heart of the team? An era like player at his position? No. You're causing one huge problem by fixing another. we can fix it in FA if we throw real money at guys and 1st/2nd round.

They’ve repeatedly burned high picks on nose tackles and strong safeties. Of course they should be good against the run. They’re also like thirtieth against them pass. That’s an issue in a league that likes to pass.

I’m sorry but are we actually looking at it as a point of pride that the team has spent all of its draft capital on DL the last decade and the ******* safety is leading the team in sacks? This is a good thing?

What we are seeing is a proper use of resources.  The Jets don't  have any other solid pass rushers except for Adams so that is what you let him do.

It's  amazing, we have been screaming for a guy who can put the QB on the ground and now we have one.who cares where he lines up?

Stats look great Jamal. You will be traded in the off-season. No way in hell the jets are dumb to pay you all that money. I get you play hard, v

But you dont play big against top competition. You are all about yourself and not the team. You got a big mouth and no wins to back it with. The jets would be stupid to resign you. You ain't no Minka Fitzpatrick . You are a lb playing safety.

Hopefully he impacts our acquisition of draft capital once we trade him in the off season.

Ok, but why are you so desperate to trade him. Why are you so convinced the Jets can't fix the O-line without having to give up their best defensive player, it sounds crazy to me. I mean, the thought process before was that he is 'just a box safety' and does not make the impact you want from a guy you will be doling out a large contract. But when a guy plays like this and puts up numbers like this he is clearly more than just a box safety and makes a big impact defensively. He is under his rookie deal, plays with passion, doesn't miss games due to injury, why are you so intent on trading him? It doesn't even seem like he will bring in a massive return. Sounds like most fans who are ready to trade Adams will take a 1st and 3rd for him, which if from a good team selecting somewhere in the bottom half of the first round is absurd.

Adams now has 6 sacks which is tied with the likes of A. Donald, Jamie Collins, Everson Griffin and B.Graham.

He’s not going to fetch much. He’s a linebacker who plays safety. He can’t cover open space. He won’t reinvent himself as a linebacker. Therefore good luck.

Omg without Jamal this team would suck even more. Jamal the Lord saviour lead us to the playoffs abd lots of super bowls. The truth is, mgmt sucks abd have sucked. First round bust, a star start ladder with a big mouth wants to be the highest played defensive player in the league who has never lead us to a win vs top notch competition. Please trade him and rebuild this team. He is all about his brand.

While we're at it, let's trade Darnold, Crowder, Jenkins, Q, and maybe now Ryan Griffin can get us a draft pick.  Then we can trade down in the draft to get even more picks.  Let's field an entire team of mid-round rookies next year.  Oh and we'll have just oodles of salary cap available with all the savings.  That should be fun.

There’s the ticket...throw a tantrum about trading Jamal. Know who else threw a tantrum because he WASN’T traded at the deadline? Jamal Adams.

I’m fine with them using Jamal as a LB. The problems would arise when we’re talking about paying him $15M per OR letting him walk in free agency for nothing.

If he is a guy that is a major threat to sack a QB on any given play, that is worth 15 million.  He would be the first sack threat since Abraham.

Jamal Adams value goes beyond his abilities on the football field.  He truly is a leader, a guy that gets the other guys to play better, to mentally invest into what the team is doing.

If he continues to play the way he is playing now throughout his career, he will be a Hall of Fame player.

Give him 15 Million per year, for a 5 year contract.

He is worth it.

He’s the best middle line backer in the league ... we should have no problem dealing CJ Mosley in the off-season and then grabbing a stud free safety or a high pick in the draft

Come on man Jamaal can’t hold Luke Kuechley’s jock strap.

JeRRah should have coughed up the 1st and two 2nds when he had a chance.  At this rate the price is going to go up to 2 firsts and their Kicker.

Or..  Jamall Pro will be signing that extension.

In other words...  the lunatic fringe completely and thoroughly exposed as the band of dimwits they are.

He'll be getting a contract that averages 15 Mil a year with about 36 mil guaranteed.  From JD or someone else.

No one who knows anything agrees with your side on this bub.  Take the L with grace.
