Had high hopes for Saleh. And may be it still works, who knows.

But 2 decisions are  major problems. Lalfeur has no business being an NFL OC. To come off 2 weeks of a bye and call draw/draw/3rd down desperation heave is pussyball.And having a guy who has never called plays coupled with a rookie QB is a dangerous combo. 

And I called it on draft day; Douglas picking Wilson over Jones was the act a a hopeless scout falling in love with a find, not a GM stocking his team with talent. If the Jets had plugged in the pro ready  Jones in an NFL offense,strongly suspect things would not be as bad. And nothing at all so far has changed that opinion, as we may be living with this disaster for another 15 years. Wilson is a decent kid. He may even be a starting NFL QB. But he is nowhere near Jones today.

We'll see about Fields.  He has the physical talent, no doubt about that!  But so did Sanchez and Darnold.  He was physically gifted but the Sanchez brain couldn't process things with the speed needed in the NFL and that's why he never succeeded anywhere.  Same for Darnold.  He's got the physical talent for sure, but mush for brains when it comes to figuring out what's happening with the speed the NFL requires.  That's going to likely be the problem with Fields too.  That was my concern, and as of yet, he looks totally confused out there and the game is moving too fast for him. He may turn out to be another one of those physically gifted athletes without the thinking speed necessary for QB success in today's NFL.   Or he may become great.  But I think this is the reason Fields didn't get drafted near the top.

Because it is obvious that you have zero, ZERO, idea what it is like to be attached to this sh*t franchise for decades.  No way you know the history of the New York Jets…

In the “good ol’ days,” the Jets used to start the season 8-4… only to follow with their annual December swoon of losing their last four games and miss the playoffs.  The atrocious draft busts year after year.

We are WAY beyond frustrated now…

Jets fans have graduated to cynical and apathetic.

Coming here to post an opinion like your thread starter is something we view that only a family member or friend of the staff might do.  Because there is no way a person can have your take that has been emotionally beaten down by a Jets organization that is a never-ending joke.  

Very few of us believe that there is a single person in Florham Park that can do their job.  The owner, GM, coaching staff, scouts… none of them.  I imagine even the janitors leave the toilet paper dispensers empty.   We already know the kitchen staff gave Mims food poisoning...

First off I read nothing sexist here. Nobody says stuff like that because it could get them banned. Playing the sexist card at this point just shows how wobbly your position  is. 

Secondly, can you point to anything since this season has started that shows Saleh has the slightest clue as to what he is doing. As bad as the O is, the D is possibly  worse and that is Saleh's  thing. 

Coming in here and yelling to us what a great leader Saleh is after this team got it's teeth kicked in after they had a bye week to prepare is probably  poor timing at best but here is a fact for you. Getting beat as badly as Saleh did after a bye week made NFL history. Not Kotite, Not Herm, Not Rex, Not Coslet, nobody who ever coached the Jets or any other team ever had that big a beat down after a bye week and this was by a mediocre Pats team. If this guy is leading, it is in the wrong direction.

hey Mary. i am not a hater and many here will tell you me and a few others still have hope and defend this regime. but i am kind of confused a bit by you.

you notice how i said regime. JD and Saleh have to stay together. your first post was hating on JD. but if JD goes then so must Saleh. as much as i like them both i think there is no way one can stay especially the HC and be forced on a new GM.  i say they both stay till 2022 and if we dont have around 8 wins then they both go. 

im sorry to say that 90% of this board is hating on the Jets right now. 

after your 1st post that you hated on JD i seen you were welcomes with open arms. now those same people will be taking shots at you cause there can be no nice talk about this team.

everybody is entitle to there opinion. me, you, everybody. but you can see the difference between criticizing and the haters. 

i kind of feel bad for you in the fact that your split on this regime. most want them both gone. and a few of us including me who think its way too soon to get rid of them.

Agree on one point.  Saleh is a good man/leader.  The Jets current problems:

1. JD's drafting and FA moves have been a disaster.  Lombardi, Walsh or Belichick would not win many games with the Jets current lack of talent much less Saleh.

2.  The new QB is being mishandled and that in itself is a disaster for the franchise & fans. 

3. The OC is not qualified for his position.  It is obvious to all.  The fans & the talking heads.
