The short passing game will be key tonight.  Thankfully that is Zach's specialty. :(

Right.... I hope Zach realizes LaFleur ain't gonna help him out and audibles to play action go routes half the time himself to save his career.

It’s time for our 11 year old OC to think outside the box. It’s up to lafleur to put him in a position to succeed. Not 2nd and 11 and 3rd and 14. If they try forcing the run against a stacked line it’s gonna be a long night.

This is a pretty simple offense for a QB to run.  We constantly face 2nd & 11 or 3rd & long because of a lack of execution.

MLF isn't great but the type of offense and concepts he runs is fine and comes from a background of success.  There's a reason it looks like a good offense (with some RZ struggles, sure) with literally any other QB we've thrown out there running it.

What passes fit Wilson?

He did throw for over 300 yards last week and once against the Pats - so twice in his last 4 games no? Passes on the outside of the hashes, passes downfield, rollouts - he excellent in all of those. Let's for once call a game for Zach and not for MLF trying to fit Zach into his game plan. First down runs are way too predictable, not just because Zach is QB, but because MLF calls them too much. It's the perfect recipe for 3rd and long.

Both of those games he played terribly and cost the Jets the game.

I thought stats didn't matter, just wins?  Ah, right, that's how it works for Mike White, only.

Look, if you think he had a good passing game against the Pats or last Sunday, then we don't  have much to discuss. I would say about 180 to 200 yards came on 4 passes. I could be wrong but he hit four long plays for about 40+ yards and one was a total fluke that MC miraculously  caught. The rest was not much to talk about. If you think we can pass a lot , fine.
