JD is winning a battle and Jets fans' patience are the casualties

It’s not over yet.

I think it will get done, but the longer it draws out there is more room for a problem. It’s is the NYJ and Woddy J, so never underestimate a complete breakdown of whatever they are involved in.

Whatever. There’s every reason to believe there’s an offer and counter offer on the table. There may even be a tacit agreement to put the trade off until after June 1. Doubtful since it seems the packers want draft pick( s) for this draft. Hopefully the deal comes to a head during the draft.

JD needs to get this done ASAP if  a deal isn’t already in place … or find another QB … Wilson Flacco Streveler is going to be ugly….

But he really doesn't.  We want it done ASAP because we're impatient, but the longer this takes, the better it is for the Jets.  Let the Packers get close to missing out on 2023 picks, risking a Rodgers injury working out with the team or having to pay him huge lump sums.

The embarrassing part for us is if we had this long of a stand off and lose trade compensation wise.

? You’re obsessed over the perception of losing a trade.
Someone here pointed out you’re a mod on another site doing the same thing on it’s Packer forum.

It’s not about losing. It’s about it being a stupid trade. Giving up a 2nd and a 1st for a 1 year QB possibly and having the pay that guy for 3 more years an obscene amount of money is stupid.

Has 0 to do with me being a MOD on another site (which I’ve been trying to get out of being a MOD for for awhile).

but you also run the risk of Rodgers getting fed up. sure after the draft the #13 pick is gone but what about nexts years #1? we can hope he doesnt care about being here for the workouts on April 17 but im pretty sure he will want to be here for OTAs on May 22.

the longer it takes our advantage will turn on us.

and a phantom team could pop up the longer Rodgers is out there. people laughed when i brought up NE and now i see there trading Mac. do you really think they go with Zappe or some retread? maybe. but the longer Rodgers is out there NE could just change there minds.

For those of you who are still tuned in to the Aaron Rogers/Joe Douglas/Green Bay Packers saga, this may come as little news to you.  But for those checking in periodically to maintain your sanity through all of this, we thought we’d share a few laughs about the absurd rumors circulating in regards to Aaron Rodgers and the Jets.

First off, it was reported yesterday that a mystery team that was later to be revealed as the San Francisco 49ers were a candidate to swoop in and trade for Aaron Rodgers if the Jets didn’t get a move on.

This, despite the fact that the 49ers have no first-round draft picks in 2023, no second-round draft picks in 2023, little to no cap space, and reside in the NFC, where the Packers have said they will not deal Rodgers.  Oh, and there’s also the fact that of all the NFL teams not called the Jets or Packers, the 49ers are the one and only team that Rodgers has said publicly that he will not play for.  You just can’t make this stuff up.

Following the “report” regarding Rodgers and San Francisco, Packers twitter followed up by claiming multiple teams who are interested in acquiring Rodgers are “monitoring the situation”.  This, with the NFL draft only weeks away is equally absurd.  The Packers will undoubtedly be looking to add picks in this year’s draft.  A draft that is set to take place in just over three weeks.  Yet for some reason, teams that want Rodgers are exercising restraint and allowing the Jets to have first crack at the future Hall of Famer while patiently awaiting their turn.

It’s called silly season for a reason, folks; and it’s officially in full swing.

You forgot to mention that Craig Carton made all that sh*t up because he is a lying criminal with no connections to anyone other than an obscure prison in Pennsylvania. But you obviously have more class than me.

Rodgers is fine.  He wants to play for Hackett. He knows the offense and probably told his agent to call him when the deal is done.
