To be fair he is overpaid 💯, but and this is a big butt, he actually is providing leadership and trying out there. Rationalizing or not, I don't mind paying him this year. Knowing the name of everyone's dog and having individual handshakes for each player (and their kids) is the kind of thing that equates with campaigning. The great thing is that it actually seems genuine and, even if it isn't, having a first ballot HOF QB going through those motions is still a good sign. He is one of the farthest players on the team from getting cut. Jet fans fascinating with cutting him every year is mind boggling.
