Rypien is the best qb on the roster now.

Rypien threw 2 TDs in one game twice...you heard that right. 2 TDs in one game.

He threw 4 picks in both of those games but come on that's like 14 points right there. 2 field goals and were talking 20 points...playoffs are still possible.

I refuse to believe that the Jets have hired so many clueless, hopelessly stupid people over the course of the past 25 years.  Every single regime has been marred by multiple episodes that defy human comprehension.  A never ending parade of skiddishness and pure idiocy.

So...once again...who is the common denominator?

Woody Johnson. No one can fire him. The only people above him are - us the fans. Only the fans can push him out. It would take a drastic, complete effort by all. Not buying tickets, not going to stadium, until woody sells.

Tim Boyle being active even as a backup for any NFL game was complete malpractice.

This.

I could understand it for preseason, particularly before the trade was official with Rodgers. In theory, if those negotiations extended into minicamp or even training camp, there'd be someone in the QB room familiar with this "offense" Hackett was installing.

Once Rodgers was signed - particularly seeing how that occurred before the draft - there was no rationale to having Boyle on the roster anymore, and having him further influenced the lack of bringing in another viable backup should the unthinkable happen (as it did).

The only thing worse than keeping him through that process was continuing to keep him even after Rodgers went on IR. As much as most hated the idea, you could at least rationalize keeping Zach as one of the backups (high draft pick, future pay was guaranteed anyway). But Boyle? There is no rationale once Rodgers was traded, let alone after he was injured.

Why not ? Is this offense that complicated?  he can’t figure out the 1 and only guy is that he can throw to ? Ha. Baker mayfield was traded to rams a yr ago. 3 days after the trade he was starting, having game of his life.

McVay vs Nate Hackett

seems fair

He gets cut for calling Zach a coddled pussy, which the entire locker room already knows. Only the Jets.

Yeah, well, leaking internal stuff is not usually a good idea, no matter how much us fans hate a singular player.

It’s what I was told.

so playing a little detective since there is no value in football discussion with this horrid team, was it mentioned in the qb room that they might go back to zach and that is why the rumor response from Zach was if they ask me directly?

Assuming Boyle heard this in the qb room and maybe even heard zach mutter something about not wanting to and then leaked it?
