We have a trade, just waiting for the moderators to ratify the trade and give the go ahead for the next pick

NY Jets trade 1-10 to Pittsburgh (Sam Sam Hes Our Man)

for

1-20, 2-51, 6-178

This would be good I think. Not sure if we really get enough for it. I believe a first includes next year first...but this is a savy move. Jets need to stay hungry and a Wr and lineman in first two rounds is great

Due to the way JD attacked FA (1 year too late) we will need suffer a bit on quality with a trade back, but with Williams, Morgan & Smith signed, and hopefully staying healthy, we can develop a starting RT & #2 WR.

A trade has been offered from the Jets to the Jags.  The Jags have accepted this trade but the Jets GM is lost somewhere in the Sahtu Lands of Canada and has not been able to confirm.

If this is the case, it’s got to be for the WR Mitchell IMO. Plenty of OT will be sitting there at 20

With Latham and Mims still on the board at #17, this is an excellent move!!!  Very nice!   One or both of these guys would have been gone by #20 if we had stayed put.

Just hope that JD can maneuver as well in the draft next month as @Beerfish just did.  Fashanu is the guy I thought you were moving up for.  I fyou can kick him inside to G for a season, he could be an upgrade over Simpson and adds much needed depth and youth to the OT position.

Well done.

Well done.

The draft is deep with OTs so a decent one would have been available at 20 but Fashanu was my 1st choice (after alt got picked).   If Bowers was still there I would have had a difficult decision and would have been happy to trade up for him as well.

Nice.

Basically traded down to move a 4th to a 2nd.

Then picked up a comparable OT as was available at 10.

And about the right value for the move, regardless of which chart.

Rich Hill: 10-->17 =73. 111--->51 = 74 (net gain: 1 = late 7th round pick)

Jimmy Johnson: 10->17= 350. 111->51= 318 (net loss: 32 = early 5th round pick)

Fitzgerald/Spielberger: 10->17= 269, 111->51= 394 (net gain: 125 = UDFA)

Nicely done

Now take all those 4/6/7’s and trade back into 2nd/3rd round.

I had attempted to trade with Seattle but my phone calls were ignored, here is an image of the Seattle GM in action:

wait.  You mean Joe Douglas is the Seattle GM in this draft? All this time and JD's secret handle has been @T0mShane?

so who made the better OT pick?
17 - Fashanu to Jets - @Beerfish
18 - Latham to Bengals - @32EBoozer

Discuss. Bicker. Argue. Make-up. Hug.

Both quality picks. With Smith(1 yr) and Morgan(2 yr) signed, Fashanu and Warren can contribute this year at both Tackle positions.

Bengals signed Trent Brown to a 1 year deal and with 4 picks in the top 97, I wanted to get a player ready to man the right side from Day 1.

With Chase & Higgins,  I can find a solid #2/3 WR easier in the late 1st/early 2nd.

I offered @Beerfish #16 and Jaxon Smith Njigba for the right to move up to #10, but he fired back that JSN sucks and he only says he’s good as a means to bash Joe Douglas.

I like the guts of the Rams drafting the top rated center, not getting cute and hoping he is there later on.

Powers-Johnson sounds like a real beast.

I'm not as high of latham but many of the experts like him a lot so I will defer.  Oline is very nice and deep this year that is for sure.  Some real top end guys all through the 1st round.

I'm a believer in Brian Thomas, he is not far outside that top tier of three WRs

Please remember to PM all 4 mods with trade confrimation.  This one was sent just to me originally and I had been offline for a couple of hours -- work sometimes gets in the way of our mock.

Chiefs get very aggressive and go up to get hopefully their next tyreek.

Worthy is certainly a KC type of guy that is for sure.

I did not have him rated as high but I never get mad at guys going up to get a player they really like and if you are super bowl champs you get wiggle room.
