SALEH FIRED

This is very surprising, either Woody really disliked Saleh or he was worried about something happening in the building.  Of course it could be as simple as he's never fired someone in season and had no idea of whether or not a protocol existed.

Or they had a fight at that firing discussion, words flew, and Woody wasn't going to let his ex-employee address his team if he thought Saleh might say "this is a bunch of bull***t" and the like because they were (legitimately) two plays away from being 4-1 (but in fairness, 1-2 plays away from being 1-4 as well).

So I'm making a pure guess, even if that fits the actions that followed. I've no actual knowledge why he was escorted out other than if things ended anything other than badly it would be a strange thing to do.

Connor Hughes most recent tweet reads like Saleh was gearing up to fire Hackett and was denied and shown the door to me.

Wow really?  Hackett and Keith Carter are certainly both deserving of the ax.

This is for any employee at any business.  You don’t fire an employee at 10am and then let them work the rest of the day while they download privileged company data and delete job folders in spite. You get fired you get escorted to the door immediately after.

i don’t get the outrage here. Well done, i say.  Some actual semblance of a professional organization.

Eh, I once got laid off and talked my week into a two-week extension so I could close a few deals left in my pipeline. The best part is that the deals never closed and I got to milk a joke of a company out of the last few dollars they had in the bank.

It was incredibly satisfying.

The conjecture is fun and interesting but the main takeaway is the Jets should be a better team under a better HC . …. unless you don’t believe a HC has that type of impact or are skeptical that Ulbrich is ready for the job and an improvement over Saleh.

We’ll see how this shakes things up but doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results is insanity.

Now does Ulbrich agree with everyone else that Rodgers owns the Offense?  That’s a pretty low view of Ulbrich.  I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt, assume he has a spine, cares about winning, cares about accountability, and cares about this opportunity (and future career opportunities) while giving him about a week to fire Carter and promote Downing to game day play caller should the Jets lose to Buffalo.

No joke.  Saleh was completely clueless.

Saleh was not clueless Saleh was being exactly what they wanted him to be instead of being himslef Kept hearing they wanted a CEO at HC and they got exactly that a Deligator and that IMO caused the HC to lose touch with his team. Cheerleaders and CEO's dont win as head Coaches.

So your a Saleh guy ? Or do you just have priciples in a world with no priciples ?

Personally, I would not have let the washed, embittered QB whose sole focus is using to Jets to orchestrate the final chapter of his personal The Last Dance to fire my coach

Nevermind Just fire Carter now ...Ulbrich needs to surround himslef with people he trusts so someone elsess hand me downs that sucked. Does anyone here think the Commanders have more talent on offense than we do ? They have some peieces but make no mistake Kingsbury has had a HUGE effct on that offense biggest mistake we made was dumping LaFleur

Great answer and pretty much what I expected.

You don't fire someone  unless you have someone better to replace them. Anybody is not the right answer

You were expecting me to have a list of available OC and OL coaches that I could recommend to JD?

For the record, JD hasn’t consulted me as of yet.

The best player on our defense called him out too this week.  How do you explain that one?

One thing I know Saleh was responsible for was the short yardage calls.

If we didn't obstinately line up to run into the teeth of the defense every time I'll bet we are 4-1 right now.

We are allowed to fool the defense now and then in general. We'll see if that changes now.

It's a week to week league. Two weeks ago, he looked great. Now, he's "washed"

Two weeks ago, Josh Allen looked like the MVP. On Sunday, he was 9 for 30. LOL
