"Sometimes you're late to work. It's life. It's not life threatening ... Sometimes your alarm clock isn't going to go off."- Todd Bowles

What if Mr. high paid surgeon showed up late and then just decided to stop the operation because he was over it and the patient dies.  And then the surgeon meets all the staff who was trying to save the poor souls life in the break room only to give them a tongue lashing on effort.

Riddle me that, Klacko.

Well now you're just being silly.

But in that incredibly unlikely scenario, the staff should frag the ******* surgeon because he's a dick, obviously.

So the surgeon would already be on site.

No. Because you're not even going to have a life-saving surgery unless there is a surgeon on-site who is telling you he can save your life right then and there with surgery.

Your premise makes no sense.

Why? How would a surgeon being late ever be a life threatening situation?

Even if a doctor knew the exact moment that a person's medical condition would kill them, would he ever schedule a surgery for the last possible moment so if by some cosmic chance he got stuck in traffic his patient would die? It makes no sense.

There's actually a dozen scenarios how this could happen. It's highly possible that someone necessitates a patient needs surgery before the surgeon sees him, granted it's the surgeon's ultimate decision to make.   Outside of Trauma surgeons, the vast majority of surgeons do not take in-house call, meaning they are usually within driving distance, but not physically inside the hospital at night. The hospital is staffed by mid-levels, being NPs or PAs, or usually residents. One of many scenarios has a patient coming into the ED with any type of critical illness, which is seen by an ED resident, then ED attending, who then consults surgery, which is in turn seen by a surgical mid-level or resident who then assess the validity of the surgical patient. In that scenario, the on-call surgeon is called who then has to drive to the hospital. By regulation, he has to be within a distance that can get him/her to the hospital in an alloted amount of time. If they're late, be it for traffic or car trouble, yea, that patient could suffer. Sure, the fellow or chief resident could begin the surgery in an emergency situation, but that patient could suffer.

I'd usually agree but in this case fans have a right to be annoyed. You had high priced guys completely mail it in last year combined with season ticket holders that attended that Colts debacle now listening to the coach say being late isnt that big of a deal? Cmon...

Now you are jumping to different issues. His comments were solely as to being late.

Whether Mo mailed it in is a COMPLETELY separate issue. I hated Mo last year but we are stuck with his fat a$$ for a while and Bowles needs to deal with him so I'm not surprised if he is trying to keep things positive heading into camp. Some of you are forgetting that Bowles punished Mo for his lateness last season.

Whatever, I'm sorry I interrupted everyone's "twitter outrage" of the day.

But it is still highly unlikely.

This was uttered by the NY Jets Head Coach today. This quote makes Kotite look like Lombardi. For ****s sake.

People forget Todd Bowles was the one who punished MO and Sheldon last season. Fans and media were wondering why MO and Sheldon weren't playing. The fans, the media would have never known about the tardiness unless Todd punished them. The two players then had to answer the embarresment to the fans and the media. They've been ripped on and off since. What Bowles said today was true and he's the one who shelled out the discipline.

Yeah guys that don't feel like playing get punished for sitting out a series .  He also gave Shel rich about 3 excused absences during camp and off season work outs.

As I said before, his comments today just excused every player and coach on this team, for being late this coming year.

Be ready for more missed meetings and people being alter for meetings this year.

What was the context, because it may be the dumbest thing I've ever heard, especially from a "leader".

And there in lies the issue . How can it be dumb if you don't know what the context was ?  Half of the people who criticize this statement don't even know or understand what it was said in relation too .

They hate Todd  Bowles and whatever he says will be twisted and use as evidence for his conviction .

The vast majority of them do the same exact thing to Mike Mccagnan  also .

I'm calling bullsh*t.

Parcells "let" LT smoke crack for the entire 1985 season.

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/lt-over-the-edge-642605/

He rarely practiced and one time he showed up to a walk through still wearing the handcuffs from the holding cell the night before

And if memory serves he never benched him once.

This idea that Bowles is a soft coach, who let players do whatever it's absolute bullsh*t.

HE LEARNED FROM PARCELLS!

This is how the league works, stars do what they want and coaches make 10x less than the stars.

In fact, the benching of Mo and Sheldon for 1 quarter is more discipline than Parcells showed LT in 10 years

Agreed, except it was cocaine.  In fact, LT snorted coke on the sidelines during a game.  One infamous incident was when he got hurt real bad during a game (might've been a separated shoulder), went to the sideline, stuffed his face into a towel and returned to the game like a wildman.

The defense has regressed since he's been here. He knows nothing about offense. He doesn't manage the clock well or know when to take a timeout. He's not a motivator like Rex was. He's not a disciplinarian either, apparently. So why is he here? What is the benefit of having him coach your team?

Well the whole thing is just so weird to begin with, not trying to call out Woody but what exactly is going on? How do you begin a complete rebuild in year 3 of a regime? It's not like we had Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne, etc. and oh, now those guys are gone and retired, let's start from scratch.

Unfortunately this is true.

only thing I can hope for is it shows the job applicants that MM interviews to be HC next season that they will have at least 3 years

Hold on a second. This is pertaining to Wilkerson and RIchardson missing meetings, correct?

In and of itself, the quotation is correct. But given the volatility of the media and fanbase and the situation, he shouldn't have said it.

In fact, I didn't even know he said it until Francesa the hypocrite brought it up.

it bears repeating that in the recent blizzard, the UCONN coaches couldn't drive to campus, so Gabby Williams rounded up the team and they walked to the gym and she organized an intense practice

I don't think its a coincidence that bowles has this lame as sh*t attitude and half the team was ******* jogging around last year

And it isn't really a big deal in the long run. If they show improvement, this comment will mean nothing. If they don't he will be fired.

But with a volatile, partly idiotic,  fanbase and media trying to rile that fan base up, it's not good.

Every time you post an angel has her wings ripped from her.
