Popular Post New York Mick
They’re talking about it on NFL radio. Even with all the injuries they still believe the team should go a different direction. They lose to the patriots, have a bunch of injuries and are missing their best OT and they still fire him. Does this mean coaches can be held accountable in those situations? 7 2
Popular Post jgb
Great news for Gase. At least until they fill the vacancy, he's not the 32nd best HC in the NFL. 4

It's possible to take any position you want on any coach or player. Like an underperforming player? It's because he doesn't have weaponz or good coaching. Like an underperforming HC? The players haven't bought into the system, injuries, GM didn't give him enough to work with. Like an underperforming GM? The HC doesn't know how to cook a meal from great ingredients. This is why it's best to cut through the BS and adopt the Parcellian approach "You are what your record says you are." And the record says Gase is el stinko. 4

Ohio State NY Jets fan
Jay totally mishandled the QB situation - publicly stated they were staying with the vet and then pull him in the second quarter of the next game - throwing their #1 pick into the fire with no preparation and it showed While on the other side of the ball, the Giants, made the change and gave Jones a full week to prepare and looked much better than Haskins despite similar draft status definition of a Career Limiting Move

You dont fire a coach after 4 games in which hes lost his #1 and #2 QB. It's that simple.

This is like comparing steak with roadkill. I'm actually talking about Gase's lifetime record. Anyone can hit a rough 4 games. Gase is a 44% lifetime winner--only 5% higher than Todd Bowles, or less than one extra win per season. Parcells is a 57% winner (plus two Super Bowls). Proof that you can deliver does give you a longer leash. That's not football, that's life.
