I think there is a reason Zach Wilson has recently said his family will be staying in Utah. 
He’s in New Jersey to work and get in the playbook. 
I’m not sure his mother is welcome in his headspace right now.

I personally saw no issue at all with her comments.  Then again, anyone going to Florida in a non-winter month should not be surprised by the heat and humidity either.

I'd actually prefer it if they didn't keep it classy, because if things with Zach go south, than I at least want to be entertained.

The country is sooo hyper-politicized now. It's just disgusting. We have "MAGA" families and "BLM" families. 

No one should give a sh*t about the politics of Zach Wilson's family, but of course it will be an issue because we are all taught to be on the red team or the blue team and to define ourselves based on those allegiances.

No one should give a sh*t about his family's politics, but his family is making their politics public.  And, even more than their politics, they're clearly outspoken.  The mom is clearly trying to be a social media influencer.  This sort of thing isn't good for the Jets, or frankly, for Zach.

Jets quarterback Zach Wilson’s mom is stepping back from the spotlight.

After receiving a whirlwind of attention when her son went No. 2 in the 2021 NFL Draft, Lisa Wilsonhas made her social media private. There was no publicized reason given for the influencer’s decision. However, since-expired videos floating around the internet show Wilson complaining about Disney World, among other things.

In a lengthy rant on her Instagram stories, Lisa appeared to complain about COVID-19 mask policies at Disney World parks, calling the establishment “maskholes.” The dance instructor, in one clip, said her family only lasted a few hours at Disney because they “hate amusement parks” and “it was hotter than a whore in church.”

The attention she garnered while trending on draft night had started to turn as more and more followers were digesting her content.

I couldn't disagree with a lot of her stances more. However, it should have zero impact on the Jets/Zach - but to think it won't is probably being naieve. As others have stated there have been "twitter rumblings" thus far - which is no big deal... but what happens if he is forced to comment on it? Wearing masks may fly - but if she says something about social movements/player protesting and a beat reporter asks Zach about it - it'll be a thing unless he just throws his mom under the bus. 

Unfortunately its the world we live in now. She should have every right to say whatever it is she wants - but her son is going to be a superstar now and it'll probably impact him whether its fair or not.
