Who is anyone without a franchise QB?  How do you win without one?

BB isn't the Jets coach for 20 years if he doesn't draft Tom Brady. Or NE's for that matter.

BB never accomplished winning without a FQB. However It has been done by other coaches which drives home the premise BB is a below average HC at best without a great QB. If he was a great coach middle of the pack Mac Jones would be enough.

Please name all the head coaches that won with a 'middle of the pack' QB?  We are talking about winning titles.  Not including a one of one example like the 86 Bears or 2000 Ravens'.  What all-time HC has won a title with a middle of the pack QB?

There is a lot to criticize Bill on.  In the modern era, he is 36-31 in New England without Brady.  "But Cleveland....".  He rebuilt a team before the true free agency and salary cap era.  

His current post Brady Patriots are 25-26.  A 'middle of the pack' QB and middle of the pack talent, at best, what current coach is going to be better than 25-26?   He can coach.  The only reason the Patriots are a game under and horrific special team's blunders away from being over .500 and in the playoffs last year is his head coaching.

BB is a great HC.  Some Jet fans just dislike the guy so much that they're unable to be objective.

In all honesty, it's the only opinion that can be held by a reasoned, well functioning individual.

Been plenty of good teams that didn’t have a HOF qb. If putting all emphasis on that, Rex Ryan would be a shoe in for HOF going to Conference championship two years in a row with mark sanchez lol. Mac jones is least of pats problems. You can say the gm is to blame for weak roster. And BB is only coach who can’t get off the hook for that excuse, being he is the GM too.

It means a broken clock can be correct twice a day.

The argument proposed was "Without a franchise QB, BB is not a good HC".  

Ok.  Who is?  Is Dikta a great coach winning with McMahon?  Or Billick with Dilfer?  No.  They had all-time Ds.

Did Chuck Noll forget how to coach when his 9 HofFers retired?  No.  Bill Walsh did not look like a genius until a third round QB became a G.O.A.T.

My point is the statement that Belichick is not a good HC is ridiculous.  His QBs outside of Brady:  Kosar, Tomczak, Philcox, Testeverde, Rypien, Zeier, Bledsoe, Newton, Hoyer, Zappe and Mac.  You can make an argument Mac is the best of the bunch and his ceiling is probably Kirk Cousins.  A fringe Top 10 QB.  

There is a lot you can criticize Beliehcik on or out right state, but that he cannot coach is not one of them.
