Quarterback Geno Smith almost certainly won't be back with the Jets next season, as he is set to become a free agent after 2016.

But Smith, who tore his ACL last month against the Ravens (while making his first start since the 2014 finale), is working hard to get back.

His Jets career might be over, but his NFL career certainly isn't. The 2016 season, remember, was just his fourth in the NFL

Here are some photos of Smith tweeted of his rehab:

Isn't it funny that him and Sanchez will most likely be competing for the same backup jobs next year.  So the Jets will have 3 former QB draft picks as backups in the league; Sanchez, Geno and Clemens and the best of the 3 might be Clemens

Throw in Fitz too. He'll be in the market for a backup QB job as well.

I don't think he's much of a starter, but there's no way he doesn't have a long career as a backup in the NFL.  He also looked much improved in his limited snaps this year.

Yep you can tell a lot from 7 snaps ?

I hope his rehab goes well and he is able to completely heal from his injury ASAP.

His time here is almost certainly done. No need to rehash the same Geno debates of the past year and a half.

When Fitz and Geno are gone, it will be a glorious day.
