Jetfan13
Patriots’ Alfonzo Dennard arrested in DUI case New England Patriots defensive back Alfonzo Dennard was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving early Thursday in Lincoln, Jay Withrow of the Omaha World-Herald reports. Lincoln police Capt. Jason Stille said officers spotted a westbound Honda straddling the lane line on Normal Boulevard between 50th and 56th Streets about 2 a.m. Dennard, 24, was alone in the vehicle. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI, refusing a chemical test and a driving infraction. Stille said he was unsure whether Dennard had been released by Lincoln authorities. Generally, though, people accused of non-felony DUI are released quickly once a sober driver arrives to pick them up. . This is not Dennard's first brush with Lincoln police. In 2012, he punched an officer investigating a fight outside a downtown Lincoln bar. He was convicted of assaulting an officer earlier this year, and was sentenced to 30 days in jail, two years of probation and 100 hours of law enforcement-related community service. Lancaster County Court Judge Stephanie Stacy allowed Dennard to delay his jail time until March 1, 2014, to avoid interfering with his NFL season. whodeawhodat
Does "grumble grumble, he's a talented ******* player grumble grumble" count as testimony? Wen the judge couldnt understand mumbles mcghee after asking him to repeat himself several times, little bill handed the judge a note that read: As HC of the NEP, I drafted AD to play CB of said NEP...Please save my legacy by not throwing this P.O.S. in a CIas my drafting has sucked and would leave a bigger hole than already exists in my sh!tty D.... PFSIKH
Hmmmm. http://nesn.com/2013/07/report-alfonzo-dennard-passed-sobriety-test-cops-arrested-him-after-failing-to-blow-adequate-breathalyzer-test/ Alfonzo Dennard‘s side of Thursday’s arrest seems to contradict the reasoning behind his arrest. Dennard was picked up early Thursday morning on “suspicion of DUI,” but his camp is refuting the reports from the Lincoln, Neb., police department, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. A person close to Dennard told Rapoport that the Patriots cornerback tried to blow a breathalyzer test at least twice, and that the number fell below the legal blood-alcohol content (BAC) limit of .08. But Dennard was deemed to not blow hard enough for the test to provide an “adequate sample,” so police then placed him under arrest and cited him for refusing a chemical test. He was not asked to take a blood test. The police report indicated that Dennard took field sobriety tests, but it did not say whether he “failed” them or not. Dennard has a court date back in Lincoln on Aug. 12. The outcome of that hearing will likely determine whether Dennard is guilty of violating his probation, will serve any jail time for the infraction or could be suspended by the NFL.
