shuler82
Philbin has the Idzik look about him... and that doesn't exactly inspire confidence. Who's the replacement?

papz187
Damn. Was hoping he'd stick around. As a Jets fan myself I agree lol In all seriousness it's about time Miami moved on.....will be interesting to see who Tannenbaum brings in to coach this team once this season is over (assuming they just promote a coordinator to take over for the rest of 2015). Jetsfan80
Dan Campbell. Parcells guy. He is their current TE coach. I.E. another Parcells guy the Dolphins will eventually let go to have success elsewhere. Meanwhile they'll throw a wad of cash at some college coach. Integrity28
Would be hilarious if they hired Marrone and Schwartz.
KRL
So they basically went from Sparano to Bowles (for 3 games) to Philbin. It's early, but they may have missed out on their best choice (good for us, so far)

Meanwhile they'll throw a wad of cash at some college coach. Have to see how they finish the season. Say they do turn the ship around and finish 8-8. They would have to give serious consideration to bringing him on full time. Them seeing the success that Bowles is having, they wont be stupid enough to let someone else walk out like that again. RutgersJetFan
Man did Miami get Tannenbaumed or what? They got Tannenbaumed harder than we got Tannenbaumed.

john461167
Assuming Dan Campbell is just an interim coach, I wonder if Tanny will go after Mangini at the end of the season.
TnT
Dolphins need to fire the buffoon that thought it was a good idea to sell a division rivalry home game to London...the ineptitude starts up top...familiar feeling.
RutgersJetFan
This upcoming hire is going to be their 8th coach this millenium. 8th!
Beerfish
Oh well they should be great now after all they stated the other day they were going to throw in towel if they lost to the Jets and that it was all the coaching. Any GM that sticks with a coach and then fires him after 4 games should also be fired or resign. Philbin was not good last year and should have been purged just like Rex should have been purged when Idzick got the job.

BigRy56
Hahahahahaha!!!! Miami is the east coast Oakland Raiders. Perennial losers. Terrible contracts, terrible coaching, terrible on the field play.

KRL
So basically as Philbin was picking up his luggage at the airport in MIA, Ross had one of his "lackeys" there to give him the boot

nyjunc
Oofah! That's gotta hurt! want to know why they didn't hire Bowles? b/c he was on Sparano's staff and the fans hated Sparano, this is yet another reason why you don't listen to your fanbase. UnitedWhofans
Field Yates@FieldYates The Patriots hired Bill Belichick in 2000. The other 3 AFC East teams have had 21 head coaches combined since that time. 18m We had 5 of those 21. Miami had 8, and the Bills had 8.

nycdan
So why does Tanny still have a job? So much of their problems are linked to horrible personnel decisions. Bringing in Suh? Extending Tannehill? Not addressing glaring weaknesses at multiple offensive positions?
