[current GM is 16 games under .500 and has never assembled a playoff team]

JETS FAN: you guys remember Jeremiah George lol that guy sucked

HaHa...

Take it in proper context. Mac Sucks, Idzik Sucked, Tanny sucked, Rex sucked, Bowles sucked.

Nice pick of Jeremiah George, completely misquoting me. How about Calvin Pryor? Remember him?

Or the 10 of Idziks 12 2014 picks that were completely out of Football within 3 years. The 2013, 14, and 15 drafts should be the core of our roster. But epic failures in those drafts by 2 GMs have left the team scrambling just to fill a compwtent 53 man roster.

So basically we have about a 6% hit rate stretching back to 2006. Hurray!

Jets Fans: Lets fight over which single guy to blame!!

the biggest issue with this idzik draft is he missed so badly in the top 3 rounds.  had he made a good 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks he would've been lauded.  the number of picks was somewhat meaningless since they were all towards the end of the draft.

mac actually might be worse and the really sad thing is both gms have had a great amount of defenders and their picks-we were told they "have a plan" and "need time" and they "know" more than the fans

Mac has  been beyond awful-I would argue any five  year old can take a player in the top ten and have that player be decent-the real skill in drafting guys is finding value from round three and beyond-and forget round two with Mac-his record is an epic failure there yet still folks defend him today.

It is the bizzaro world where Jet fans  love to hype of up garbage players as being more then garbage and in the end the truth comes out they were garbage.

This draft Mac needs to nail the first round pick-trading for "value" simply is not an option when Mac would  not know value if it bit him in the ass-you draft bosa  or allen and  be done with it and hope they live up to expectations.

If they trade down I hope some  how they walk away with aj brown who I think is better than metcalf and might be best wr in the draft

Geno smith was 100 times a better pick than Hackenburg

Im not so sure about this..... From the standpoint of which one had a better chance of succeeding, perhaps, but IMO, a QB is binary, they are either legit, or they are not. Best bet is you find one, 2nd best bet is you find out quickly you don't have one. Hackenberg made it clear immediately he wasn't one. Both were 2nd round picks, Geno higher, we wasted more time with Geno than we did Hackneberg, they both busted miserably. To call Geno a better pick is a stretch, to call him 100x better, I just don't agree at all

If you hotboys think Idzik’s two drafts were bad, wait until you compare them to Maccagnan’s first two drafts this time next year

Those don't count because he declared a rebuild. Just like this year's won't count when he declares another rebuild in a couple years

Edge pressure, A-gap pressure and both are free runners.

Geno Smith wasnt good. But this Giants play especially not picking up stunts is EXACTLY the same poor play we just seen with Darnold.

What's telling is that many of the clips arent of him throwing INT after INT, but it's him making stupid decisions while trying to prevent things like taking a safety given how quickly the defense is in the backfield.

It's funny how we see what we want to see.

LMAO!!!! Watching these clips with all the years between us and them are pure comedy gold. I literally laughed out loud in my car 3x watching them. Thanks@sourceworx

Geno was an absolute buffoon. What fun the rest of the league must have been having at our expense. And to think this was our answer the the buttfumbler. Jesus H Christmas!!!

Neither is a QB for the Jets anymore. We wasted more years on Geno than we did on Hackenberg. They were both awful picks, saying Geno pick was 100x better is a huge stretch IMO

An interest game to play would be to write down all the players that drafted and pick 12 out of a hat. $20 bucks those 12 will be better than what Idzik pulled out of his a**.

Off from work today. So, I have way too much time on my hands. Need start doing something productive. But in the meantime I did this in Excel....

I figured out Idzik's draft strategy. He literally pulled names out of a hat.

My random number generated draft would have gone 1) DaQuan Jones 2) Crockett Gillmore 3) Jerick McKinnon 4) Kaleb Ramsey. I stopped at this point because I already hit on as many picks as Idzik with 8 more picks to go.

As much as Geno may have sucked, he still had a job in the NFL when Hackenberg was getting benched in the AAF.  Geno literally had more TDs 30 minutes into his NFL career than Hackenberg ever will.

There is no level of awful that will ever match the complete and utter uselessness of Hack.

I'll say, Nick, Woody,  Alan and Brick is a  type of line wins games in the NFL. We need to back to that, why doesn't anyone in the Jet org. see that!!!!!!

I'll even double down on your statement.

Back when we were playing in the AFCCG we had guys like Jumbo Elliott and Kevin Mawae.

Matter of fact, the last times the Jets made the playoffs they either had the best Center in the league (Mawae) or a top 5 Center in the league (Mangold).

Hack was an absolute Hail Mary that Mac thought he could fix.  He was awful and anyone that watching him at PSU saw it--EVEN from his freshman year when folks want to over-inflate what he did,  he was mediocre and went to bad.

Geno was a fraud based upon his offense at WVU and he was a punk that started low at his draft showing and kept delving into the depths of douchebaggery until this POS got his face punched for basically $600 of chump change.

One of my least favorite Jets.

I also see a sh*tty Oline.

Which hasn't been addressed in a serious manner since '06. Beause BOTH.of the last 2 GMs are f*cking morons.

Seriously. Geno, as bad as he was, had to run for his life. How many times was Petty (as bad as he was) DESTROYED behind the Jets line? 2015. Was an outlier, and Fitz still got knocked out of a game. McCown was knocked out behind the Jets line. Darnold had to run for his life much too often last year.

Here's the REAL argument for saying Mac is worse than Id, even after drafting Sam....

He knew 2016-17 were building years, and he knew (didn't he?) that Fitz and Josh weren't long term solutions at QB, and he had to either try to develop the young QBs on the roster (Petty, Hack) OR draft a QB high in the near future. He also had our All Pro C and LT retire. So that was an IDEAL time to work on the foundation of your team. I was screaming and bitching and moaning for TWO YEARS that the Jets needed to build an O line for the young QB, regardless of who it was. Im not a Football GM. I'm not a scout, and aside from my kids in the backyard, Im not a Coach....but I KNEW the Jets needed to have a good oline in place for who ever we wound up drafting.

And here we are. Year f*cking 5 of the MacCagnan Experience, and Jonatthon Harrison is the Center right now. Hes a depth level replacement. Nothing more. Beechum, who is soft as Charmin, is watching Sams back, and we are paper thin along the line even if Shell (adequate starter, nothing more) comes back 100%. Thank God for the KO pick up....and imo Winters is meh.

So yeah, MacCagnan has been EVERY BIT the failure that Zik was. But its more if a sustained, boring failure, not the spectacular crash and burn we got with Idzik.

Mac, its the O-line, stupid! Idiot.
