We threw the game.  A new low in franchise history.

The 2020 NY Jets will go down in history as one of, if not THE, worst team ever to play Professional Football.  It'll be a stigma we'll have to live with forever.

We might get a good prospect out of it.  A prospect we might have still got even if we won today, no way to know really.

It is what it is really.  Hard to get too worked up about it.  We're fans of one of the worst franchises in Sports.  We should really be used to it by now, all of it, really.

Why would Gregg Williams, a guy who has no chance of being here next year, care if the Jets get the first pick?

Also, if he did care and decided to throw the game, why would he let it come down to a Hail Mary? Why not let the Raiders score five or six touchdowns in the first half? If the Raiders put up 40 on this defense, no one would have thought twice about it.

It was a preposterous decision by Williams, but it ineptitude is much, much, much, much more likely than conspiracy

Yea....I love putting on my tin foil hat for a good conspiracy....but this ain’t it.

You “throw” the game by letting them score on the previous drive not in a desperation situation

It kind of stinks.  At the end of the day the game showed the jets aren’t nearly as bad , personnel wise, as an 0 fer team should be.  They have some players worth keeping and building on for next season.  Even darnold showed that with good support he can put up enough points to win.  As for the defense, they were getting shredded all game by the raider te but they did get a couple of turnovers.

as it turns out both the jets and the jags lost so the race for the no. 1 pick is intact.

How does "throwing the game" benefit GW in any way,  shape, or form?

Hes not here next year, and he'll be looking for a job.

If the tank runs real deep there could be a behind the scenes deal. Just saying.

If we had intended to throw the game, we would have "rested" Becton, Darnold, Crowder, Maye etc.. We wouldn't have completed a comeback.

We are just coached horribly and have a dearth of talent to compensate for the awful coaching.

And no we didn't embarrass anyone. No one cares only SOJFs that feel insecure. If we had won that game, we just would have guaranteed more embarrassing losses in the future because we wouldn't have Lawrence.

You know what, if they did tank it then I say thank you Gregg Williams. It's not like the Jets are the first team to do so, ask Indy how they feel about having real QB's for two straight decades, while we have gone through a clown car full of horrible coaches, QBs, OC's and of course the worst owners in the history of the NFL . I wouldn't mind seeing the Jets get the next sure thing that we all know they will somehow manage to wreck.
