Well, the Jets moved Lawson back over Becton & he flew around edge for a sack on Wilson. Coaches let play continue #Jets

Its downright embarrassing at this point.

Okay, that's one play. "Getting beat like a drum" implies multiple plays. And "downright embarrassing" would be Becton getting beat constantly by the primo pass rushers of Jets' past like Frankie Luvu, Aaron Maybin, and ... well, I can't think of anymore because they all were forgettable. This is Carl Lawson we're talking about here.

And reports indicated that yesterday he had a good practice, winning against Lawson more often than losing.

Hes supposed to be an all world left tackle.  A dominant player.  Hes getting beaten everyday for sacks.  Multiple sacks.

This is not dropping back 35 times in a game.  This is like 15 practice reps.  Hed be giving up 4 sacks a game at the rate he is going.

Its more then downright embarrassing for a player of his caliber.

We balls deep at DB overnight this year.

and I love it.

This is one of the more encouraging under the radar developments in camp.

We have a ton of unproven talent at CB, but with Austin and Hall as likely starters on the outside and guys like Guidry, Carter II, and Echols in the slot, and Pinnock and Lamar Jackson added to the mix, we might be in pretty good shape with a bunch of young hungry guys back there.

He had trouble with speed rushers last year and Lawson is one of the best.  It’s going to take time.  He does not have brick’s natural feet and mirroring skills.

How do we know the same thing didn't happen to other LTs in the past? There were never these minute by minute tweets before.

I’m completely intrigued by our talent rich secondary. No “names” and no egos- yet every one of the them is interesting and has potential. Defense has stolen the show at TC

I know some of them won’t make it to 53, but it’s gonna be fun to follow. For once, we have zero throwaway JAGs back there

He's a 2nd year player going against a veteran with an elite win-rate against OTs, and who also happens to fit the mold of the kind of player that Becton struggles against.

Jeez, dude, give the kid time to learn and refine his game. And let's see him in some game action vs other opponents first before you get on that ledge.

Why do we think Becton is bad now? Because Lawson is getting sacks? I f’n hope he is!
Not like we’re gonna see tweets saying Becton stopped Lawson from getting to the QB. Calm down people.

If it was the reverse, with Becton stonewalling Lawson every practice, we'd have people lambasting JD for wasting money on a pass rusher who can't even get sacks in practice.

This is hysterical!!!  When did Jones become Mahomes???  They still
have questions about him and there's one less game in the pre-season
and he doesn't need reps???  OK

Golladay and Barkley are out. The offensive line is awful. They aren't protecting him from injury, they are protecting him from looking awful against the Jets further killing his confidence.

"Danny Dimes" is as big a joke as Darnold, only with more catastrophic fumbles.  Look for the Giants to dump his ass after this season.

Their O-Line is a mess again.  Lots of injured players.  I think this is absolutely a "we can't let Jones get injured" move.  Jones is a big question mark at best, but if he gets hurt, they are looking at Glennon as their starter.  Take it as a compliment I guess.
