Let's not nitpick or correct others for their record predictions; let's just go on record with our own Jets of 2021 record predictions (and keep it moving).

Zach looks promising in his rookie year. However the defense is bottom 3 in the league. 4-13

I can respect that.

But go game by game so we can see where you're coming from... That's the purpose of this thread.

I have trouble even finding 5 wins honestly. I think we go 0-6 probably within division. Maybe 1-5. Houston, Cincy, Atlanta and Jax are winnable games. We probably won’t be favored in more than those games if even

Dude! I know you said not to nit pick. Even the biggest homer on the planet cannot possibly share your opinion- I assume you were serious?

Sticking to my original prediction ( even though the injury bug has bit them pretty hard.  6-11. But an entertaining watch, they we will look like a prepared football team each week.

Last year I predicted (word for word)

"3-13 with potential to have a 1-15 Rich Kotite disaster of 1996".

And we went 2-14 (in the middle of what I predicted).

Heading into 2009 I received your same types of comments as I guaranteed a top 5 Defense and the playoffs and was laughed off the forum due to "homerism" so I'll take it with a grain of salt.

Sadly, I think we are picking top 10 again - I hope I am wrong; It is too early, IMO, at least for me, to pick winners and losers as I don't know how good a lot of our competition will be. Plus there are some real big questions left - what if although unlikely that Watson goes to Miami and isn't suspended? I would expect the Pats to be better than last year. I also don't follow other teams too well.

I'll take a stab at it, why not.  Offense looks good, defense not quite as bad as everyone here expects but still shaky.  7-10  With 4 picks in the first 2 rounds and 2nd most cap space next season.  I'll take it.

A fun season.  A rebuild year that proves there is rebuilding in progress but still too many holes to compete for the playoffs this season.

Wilson up and down but most agree he is a developing FQB.  The tackles and AVT are good. WRs great   RBs: good. TEs suck.

CJ is the rare MLB who can lead in this system and stays healthy.  DL gets gashed on more runs than JN wants but they blow up lots of plays.  18+ threads "imagine if this group had Lawson too".  DBs get carved up several weeks.

MY HEART SAYS:

@ Carolina =  Win 23-17 (This WILL happen!)

vs. Patriots = Loss 16-3 (Rookie vs BB)

@ Denver = Loss 38-35 (Zach balls out in his homecoming game, but defense can't stop Teddy.)

vs. Titans = Loss 24-10 (No Chance)

vs. Falcons = Win 28-23 (defense is starting to develop)

(Bye week).

@ New England = Loss 14-10 (improvement!)

vs. Bengals = Win 24-21. (2 teams very close in talent.  Home team wins out)

@ Indianapolis = Win 27-20 (Even Sam won in Indy)

vs. Bills =  Loss 35-17

vs. Dolphins = Win 17-16 (bend but don't break works!)

@ Houston = Win 35-13 (Who's their QB?)

vs. Eagles = Win 33-17 (Finally beat the EAGLES)

vs. Saints = Win 27-14 (dome team sh*ts themselves in the weather)

@ Miami = Win 24-23 (because **** the fins)

vs. Jaguars = Win 44-3 (Urban retires after the game)

vs. Buccaneers = Loss 35-17 (Bucs should be resting starters, but Brady can't help himself against us.)

@ Buffalo = Win 28-27 (Jets beat the Bills backups in shoot-out)

11-6. Bills resting starters allows us to back into wild card!

The Season is better, more competitive, and more fun that the final record would indicate.

And if the ball bounces our way more often than not, 7 or even 8 wins could be possible.

A bright outlook for year 2 of the Saleh/Wilson show.

I don't think you all realize how bad the last coaching staff was and how much of a difference this new coaching staff will make. Our defense needs some help but they will come up with some big plays. Our offense will consistently move the ball and score points. Our special teams will be a lot better. Jets win 8 or 9 games.

Where?

Trying to call me out as a liar or something?

This was me voting 5-11 or below.

That's where.

I was posting at the other place most of last offseason (that place stinks compared to JN) and after losing Robby Anderson to FA, Jamal to Seattle (but not anymore) and C.J. Mosley sitting out?

I was pissed and frustrated and i knew 100% we would STINK under Gase with posts to prove it too.

I predicted a 3-13 season with a 1996 1-15 disaster and why? Because I knew how bad both our roster and coaching staff stunk, that's why.

I'm not a homer and I only get FIRED UP when I know my teams have an exciting roster.

And I also remember a lot of fans laughing at me for guaranteeing Knicks would make the playoffs because of Tom Thibs Defense heading into 2020 too and I was so confident that I was right I took $777 from my paycheck @ +1,400 odds and won back $11,655 in return.

I'm not nostradamus but I've always got a good pulse on my teams. And in 2009 it was me getting laughed at for guaranteeing a top 5 Defense under Rex and playoffs despite a Rookie QB. 90% were wrong but I was apart of that 10%.

This team under Saleh is going to dominate the league and our offense is 10x more explosive than 2009s in which could only run the Football and ranked 32nd in pass attempts.

And in 2021 we'll have a top 5 Defense too.
