LEBRICK JAMES
This guy the reason mims on the bench taking reps. He’s not better than crowder and he fair catches everything …. Popular Post mrcoops
The Berrios hate amongst the fanbase is weird. Guy is small, but he gets open and catches the ball. The coaches and QBs have faith in him, that's why he's in there. As a return man and depth piece at WR, he's doing a solid job. 17

Berrios is strickly slot, Mims is only outside. He is keeping Crowder on the bench, and clearly the CS thinks he is better then Crowder, and he'splaying like it.

The guy is a backup slot receiver. He’s also not doing much with the targets. His YPC stinks.

Yeah, but if Belicheck has taken away your primary target, Corey Davis, you go to who is open. The notion that it's not who you want to be open is absurdly myopic. 4

He's probably the 3rd read on plays but zach goes to him because he's had success. More often than not its the QB not the OC
Origen
I just saw LaFleur toss out his "Throw Everything to Berrios" playbook, so everyone who thinks Berrios is the featured playmaker of this offense and not just the guy who got open on a play running his route and caught the ball, can chill out.
phill1c
I say, line up Berrios in the backfield with Mims: Jet sweep left for Berrios, Deep ball right to Mims. Everyone else just block.

Popular Post Bleedin Green
The sudden hate for Berrios is a bit ridiculous. The reality is that he has been one of the Jets strongest offensive performers through the first 2 weeks, and if you take issue with that, then it's far more of an indictment of those apparently incapable of beating him out than anything else. Considering JD is the one who brought him in to begin with, and has kept him around for 3 years now, while Saleh and LaFleur have worked him into their offense, and Wilson has gone to him repeatedly, it would seem he's not exactly being forced on anyone.

Barkus
Berrios is a good route runner and the second most experienced WR playing so far, after Davis. Hopefully Crowder will be back soon. Moore is still getting comfortable In the offense and mims cannot even get on the field.

You see this a lot with young QBs. They throw it to the guy they have a connection with. Berrios was an ever-present in pre-season while other receivers missed time. Wilson has learned to trust Berrios, which might explain why he targets him over other options. It will become less of an issue over time as he gets more comfortable with other targets.
phill1c
Berrios is already just as good as Crowder, younger and faster. The problem isn't hte WRs; it's the decision making...and it will be fine soon.

Prodigal Syndicate
He should be a depth guy at best. He is fine but you arent going to win in this league throwing to him 25% of your passes. He is reliable and a decent ST guy, so no problem with him being on the team at all. But if you are relying on him on offense something is wrong. 1
